    About Nazgrim

I have a quick question concerning Nazgrim.

Is it OK to leave our pets on him during Defensive Stance?

    Thanks!

yes, I believe you can also dire beast and kill command in def stance too, would like confirmation though.

    Yes, it's ok.

You can leave your pet and even dots on him (including AmoC).

You cannot use Kill Command in defensive as it is a player actioned ability - but yes you can leave your pet on Nazgrim - not sure about DB, but might be like AMoC - if you hit the button just before defensive, the damage it does isn't counted toward his rage stacks.

Leaving the pet on is better for SV than BM because in defensive you still have access to your primary attacks (for adds) and the Pet can have 100% up time on Nazgrim - where target plenty of target switching hurts BM due to pet travel time (blink strikes or sprint might be on CD when you switch) - but if you can stack the adds, pet cleave is still decent...

You can Kill Command and Dire Beast during def stance and no rage will be built.

Srs? I thought you couldn't use player actioned abilities?

In that case, sorry - I stand corrected...

It doesn't really distinguish who "hit the button". The pet delivers the attack, e.g. it's in the same category as Bite and whatnot.

Awesome thanks - back to passive and KC macro for Nazgrim then

You actually don't "need" to macro KC target to Nazgrim, if your pet is on passive, kill command will always attack the pets current target (regardless of which enemy you have targeted)

The only caveat to this is that if you have no target, you cannot cast kill command despite the fact your pet has a target. In this case, without a kill command macro, you can still manually target Nazgrim and cast kill command.

That being said, a macro would never hurt.

    Pet Passive

    /use Steady Shot
    /stopmacro [@pettarget,exists]
    /petattack

Now your pet will follow your target without being on assist and will maintain its current target if it is on passive. I have a macro for

    /petassist
    /petattack

And then have /petpassive bound directly from the pet bar.

    Thanks for the replies!

Since I wasn't sure, I was recalling my pet.

I was under impression that all DPS done would generate rage.

Sort of same - I knew you could leave pets on him, just didn't know you could still use pet abilities

Target Nazgrim, stand out of range, and use BW and KC on CD.
