Nitro Boost and Healthstones share cooldown?

So Nitro Boosts (which are now available to everyone) were announced to be on potion cooldown. Healthstones were also confirmed to be on potion cooldown.

    Are warlocks being shafted here?

Thinking more about PvP and solo content here.

Well, that's going to take some time to get used to...

Healthstones and healing potions will have their own, seperate cooldown.

From what I understand, nitro boosts will be on the DPS/Stats potion CD, healthstones will be on the healing/mana potion CD. Is that right?

That is correct, just what I came here to post.
There are two potion cooldowns, health and throughput.
Health share cooldown with healthstones, throughput share cooldown with Nitro Boost.

Not to dispute your post, but do you have a source for this?

Two of us coming up with the same thing.
But sure, I will go try to find the actual quote.

Edit: Some sources. Will continue looking.

Health Potions and Healthstones do not put mana potions, nor agility potions, crit potions, any other potions on cooldown

Perculia: Have you guys thought about the implications of engineer perks being available to everyone - like everyone in the raid having rocket boots in light of the ability pruning?
Kris: There are some pretty good answers to that. We were talking about changing the engineer boots to just use the potion cooldown, so you can use the boots to go super fast but then you can't use that bonus agility potion that you want to use right when heroism's going. So you have hard choices to make and whether or not to use these things.

So Healthstones will share a cooldown with healing potions so you can't use both a healthstone and a healing potion in one combat?

Yes, if you bring a warlock you're basically getting free healing potions.

Are they being brought up to the same level as healthstones?

I don't know exact numbers off-hand, but they're being brought down.

So the healing percentage of healthstones and healing potions are slightly lower?

Yes. We doubled player health, so doubling player health meant that these percent heals effectively got doubled as well so we brought them down to account for that.

And health potions won't share a cooldown with things like Potion of Concentration?

Correct -- and all the ones that you currently use for DPS with the one minute cooldown.
In short, there will be two potion cooldowns.
"DPS" potions (what I term throughput), and health potions.
Nitro Boosts will share a cooldown with the Throughput (DPS) Potions.
Healthstones will share a cooldown with Healing Potions.
It appears that Mana Potions might share the throughput cooldown, because they don't according to that share the health potion cooldown.

Healthstones/Health Potions as a Health Cooldown, then another which is everything else.

Not to be a gloomy Gus, but how on earth will Nitro boosts ever measure up against DPS potion, unless you use it to save your life? I'm not even an Engineer on my main, but that sucks for all the engineers out there, tbh.

Professions aren't supposed to give good combat bonuses in WoD, this is just bringing Engineering the everyone's level.

Dps and health potions will have seperate cooldowns.

I'm actually fine with this change. I personally love the idea that professions will not be solely a "dps boost" as far as giving passives/benefits to enhance your performance. Speaking as an engineer, I think this is a good chance also because of the fact this gives us a little bit of trade goods value. Whether throughput potions or nitro boots will reign supreme in the grand scheme of raiding or BGs I'm not sure, but at least there's opportunities to non engineers to purchase nitro boots for themselves and bring back a bit of "professions = gold".

I've only really taken Engineering for the Nitro Boost, which is really handy from time to time, as well as the Springs. I'll reserve judgement, but I'll likely swap out Engineering for something else depending how it shapes up.

Don't forget that engineering willl still have its niche in WoD. For instance, there's this item (on a 2 min CD and only usable in Ashran) that makes you swap places with someone. I believe it's something that only engineers will have as well.

    They are different choices.
There can be times when the faster movement will net you more dps, perhaps because it stops you dying and doing no further dps.
