What do you guys think about the return of Molten Core (temporarily)

So with the temporary revamp on Molten Core 40man what do you guys think. Do you like it? Do you not?? Also, Blizzard only stated you would be able to go around in a LFR version. Does this mean that we won't be able to do a real raid of it? It would be nice to see a real challenge.

I was only expecting a pet for their anniversary. So, a 100vs100 deathmatch was enough to make me cream my pants, then Molten Core ontop of that, November is gonna be fuuuuuuun!

correct. it is only a LFR raid. there will be no normal, heroic or mythic version. i think its a great idea though. i would like to see at least a normal version though. i despise running LFR and this is gunna force me to do it.

I'll go for my mount, maybe any transmog that isn't guaranteed and can't be obtained from the original run. Would be greatly annoyed if I were still on my old computer given how badly 40 man raids felt in terms of low fps.

how am I supposed to get excited over doing it...again, in LFR? you know what is exciting? new content. not onyxia's lair 3.0. it's bad enough that firelands recycled rag as it is.

Because if you go do MC right now, you're going to be doing it solo with more health as a dps than a lot of the bosses have and one shotting the trash (and possibly bosses as well). If you do it with a group at level 60, it's still not going to compare because so much scaling/talents/etc stuff has changed over the years. I think even at level 60 you only need 5-10 people. Basically, it's not the experience of going in with a large group at the appropriate character and power level, which is what they're providing here.

Except they're not. It's going to be a holiday boss/LFR level of difficulty where everybody is a winner. It'd be just as exciting if they just mailed you the stuff. You'll run it once, get your stuff and never go back. The stuff will be so common that you'll forget you even have it a week after the event.

Being stuck with 40 random, cross-realm knobs in LFR steamrolling MC isn't remotely the same as spending 6 months with a team working through old school MC.

I can see alot of griefing with people pulling the packs corehounds before Magmadar so that they never die all at once and you have endless reviving corehounds............

Except that they'll nerf any interesting mechanic into the toilet. It'll be holiday boss difficulty that you could clear with a 5-man Challenge mode team instead of a 40-man LFR team, if they'd let you.

I don't think it's intended to be a challenge, it's a one off temporary experience designed to be remembered fondly rather than used in content drought discussions.

That's the disappointing part. There's nothing fond about being stuck with 40 random LFR cross-realm idiots for an hour long MC run.

glad its only a temporary, FUN thing then. the fun is celebrating the event with friends, hanging out in the city joking with friends and trying out our new stuff. i wont have to stress over raiding it for 6 months +. i can have fun in an LFR environment a few times, but when i have to do it weekly for months at a time, it gets old quick.

Running MC during vanilla with 40 people from trade chat was worse than LFR, 25 people afk or standing in fire, 15 others actually trying. LFR 40MC is going to feel authentic as all hell.
