With SF you do ambush->backstab at the cost of 50 energy, in the 70 energy you saved you can do an additional 2 backstabs.
So the question is does 2 seconds of FW uptime and 2 ambushes out do 1 ambush and 3 backstabs? In MoP the answer was yes although not by a lot especially after Glyph of Vanish was fixed. If WoD where the damage breakdown has been shifted and the net damage proportion of rupture has been increased from 5% to 20% it seems plausible that it doesn't.

Does anyone know if orc is better than belf now? I've seen a few top rogues go orc rather than belf but can't find any info as to why.

It's more like 250 dps, i'm talking about players that would minmax like that. It's possible they are doing it just for looks but i'm wondering if orc is out performing belf or not

Difference between Orc and Belf is like 0.6%, likely they don't care or are playing for the stun reduction, if they do it doesn't matter until WoD any way.

I had a chat with a guildie a while back about this and i'm fairly confident the fidelity of the models will not be in question. Or i'm so deep in denial with the lackluster changes and my excitement for WoD is pretty non-existent this might be my way of keeping hope alive for the one change i've actually been looking forward to. Troll- Next best thing because I do not like the slippers on Orcs with my transmog, and I refuse to play a Belf as my main raiding toon.
