It's fun but too bad about the terrible optimization/performance issues.

As for the combat it's far superior to dead islands, while similar it's a lot quicker and a lot of fun once you get into it and skill up so weapons don't break after 5 swings.

Seriously though, Dying Light is one of the better Zombie Survival experiences out there. As for the zombie games dying out, i very much doubt it, being part of the horror genre at least. Recycled COD FPS shooter Games are more in need to die out though.

I've renamed it Left 4 Far Dead Island, incorporating the 3 games it copies and still manages to be worse than all of them, Left 4 Dead, Far Cry and Dead Island.
And let's not talk about that horrendous invasion mode.

drop the view distance to minimum. it changes nothing but the texture quality of things that are far away, not how far away you can actually see.

The game might be good but I'm just way too tired of zombies, they've gotten cliché. The only zombie games I play are Telltale's The Walking Dead games.

Also, that opinion is completely invalidated by saying it's worse than Dead Island somehow. Literally everyone agrees, even if giving it a lower score (which I have yet to see anyways), that it's better than Dead Island. Therefore I can't take that seriously.

I think i'm gonna wait for dead island 2 to come out in a couple of months, hopefully the separation of dying light/ dead island means dead island 2 is less scary to play :S

I'm having a blast too! playing this game while waiting for blackrock foundry patch.
I'm always getting this weird lag during the cutscene or when I got hit by the green slime shooter zombie, already updated my driver but still laggin *shrugs*

Dying light is pretty good. It actually feels like a survival game. My heart is actually pumping a few beats extra when I slow-mo look back to see the crazy zombies chase me and gain ground (at night). You also don't feel as powerful as in dead island. One or two zombies can be enough to kick your ass.

I'm also running on maxed settings with a GTX 670 and i7 3770K at a steady 45 fps which is more than fine for me. No lagg, stuttering, etc at all.

IMO I'd give it a 8/10. Fetch quests get boring and my last progress didn't save

SLI more commonly hinders performance then improves it, only some games get more out of SLI.
