Bandai Namco is reportedly set to announce Dark Souls III at E3, according to a source close to the game. Once again, Dark Souls maestro Hidetaka Miyazaki will be heading up development of the third game, having previously served as Director on the first Dark Souls, Demon's Souls and Bloodborne.
Miyazaki had a supervisory role on Dark Souls II, which was directed by Tomohiro Shibuya and Yui Tanimura. Dark Souls II was of course re-released recently for PS4 and Xbox One, with the Scholar of the First Sin suffix. Bloodborne, meanwhile, was released exclusively for PS4.
So, if you're up for more death and hard as nails hack n' slash, Dark Souls 3 could well be on the cards, providing VG247's sources prove to be legitimate. We'll have more on Dark Souls 3 as it breaks.
