Awesome! That's some good news for once. Glad for her

We HAD the discussion. Its over... you're still trying to pretend you're a nice guy though.
(1) You are trying to apply the typical/traditional career path to an extraordinary genius level individual.
(2) You are dashing the hopes and dreams of a child.
It doesn't matter what you say. You are wrong.
So like I said originally you have (2) options: own it -or- apologize.
We had a boy like that from our middle school, but he was 11 when he went to HS for math and physics. He was SO angry when he only got a B+ in physics.
British people: Why do you talk as if there's more than one math?
I mean, there are multiple types of math, but it's all math.

Thats amazing, it'll be cool to see where she goes.
Parenting: you're doing it right
Wish her luck, really.
I've had 2 class mates in my dual enrollment program that were insanely young. Both were socially destroyed though. Hope the parents keep the expectations flexible.
Good for her. Hope she doesn't burn out early, lose the ability to function socially worth a shit, or get slapped hard by puberty and all the crazy hormones and emotions it brings like most prodigies do. Statistics are against her but I'm rooting.
Someday she will regret skipping her childhood for no real purpose.
Good for her. Nothing really of note till she begins accomplishing something without her mom and dad holding her hand.
