    Question Why's Argus so important?

So I'm seeing a lot of people pointing to Argus being where we go to end the Legion, but that doesn't make sense. At this point it's probably just a smoldering hellhole full of demons, and killing the demons on that planet is pointless because you need to kill them in the nether to get rid of them for good.

I could see us fighting KJ or something considering it's an Eredar hotspot, but again it's pointless unless it's in the nether.

Probably because it is the most lore-rich planet in WoW outside of Azeroth and Draenor.
You could have the world in the palm of your hands
    You still might drop it

It's not really, but as a place filled with Fel Magic and the home of Archimonde and Kil'Jaeden, it would be both an appropriate place to confront them, and somewhere that they could be permanently killed.

It'd just be a staging post to attack Sargeras from though, holds little importance to him. What he wants is Azeroth.

Do we WANT to kill Sargeras though? With the lore coming out of Chronicles, it sounds like we're the bad guys for selfishly defending our planet when he needs something from it to defend something greater.

I believe the spoiler there is right on the mark

But he doesn't want to defend anything, he wants to completely wipe everything out.

By wiping out the "you know who" Lords he would be defending the universe and putting a stop to the proliferation of Old Gods

The Titans wanted to use Azeroth to defeat the Void Lords.
Sargeras wants to destroy it (because he thinks the Void Lords might take control of it, a self-fulfilling prophecy as he's trying to kill the people protecting it).

He also wants to destroy the rest of the universe so he can "start over" with one completely free of old god influence.
    He's not the protagonist here.

Illidan novel spoilers from the lore forum thread

1.Demon worlds aren't ruined, demons live on those planets. Buildings and such.

    2. Super-fel'd up areas count for permanent deaths for demons. Also mentioned in the chronicles.

Not to mention theres no real evidence to support that he would succeed in restarting the universe, let alone allow it to restart.

If he does, how does he shape planets? Who gets to inhabit them? Just Demons? Will he allow life to come forth on its own and actually protect it? Or enforce his will as a slavemaster?

Ultimately, he wants to control the existence of the universe itself, so no one else can corrupt it. That is pretty much textbook evil.

Argus is not important. The Void Lords are what's important now. Argus would now be seen as an ancillary threat to the main antagonists.
TO FIX WOW:1. smaller server sizes & server-only LFG awarding satchels, so elite players help others. 2. "helper builds" with loom powers - talent trees so elite players cast buffs on low level players XP gain, HP/mana, regen, damage, etc. 3. "helper ilvl" scoring how much you help others. 4. observer games like in SC to watch/chat (like twitch but with MORE DETAILS & inside the wow UI) 5. guild leagues to compete with rival guilds for progression (with observer mode).6. jackpot world mobs.

Don't forget, it is only the Old Gods, The Legion, and The Keepers who know that the Void Lords exist right now.
They did not see fit to tell us yet.

    The thing is, it's not.

Only thing people care about Argus because it's one of the few planets that has been named in the Warcraft universe + Velen and the two big baddies of the Burning Legion originated from there.

Sargeras is mad, we need to remember that. He decided that because the Void Lords were going to destroy the universe, he needed to destroy the universe first so that they couldn't. Maybe his heart is sort of almost in the right place, maybe the Dreadlords are messing with his head to help the Void Lords out.

It's important because according to what we know it is not in ruin and is where the bulk of the legions forces are. It is also fel corrupted, meaning any demons that die there die forever.
