The saddest part about this story is the lace ruffles.
I mean seriously, no Catholic schoolgirl uniform has lace trim. God.
dancing is the job those girls decided to have. it's not bad to hire them.
so, my only apology would be:
So, it's bad to hire women to preform jobs? Ok, got it. Never hire women for jobs.
Damn hire dancers in schoolgirl outfits thats so wrong next time hire pornstars in latex uniforms and all will be fine
Oh for the love of pete. You even bolded half way through the sentence, add the rest and suddenly the entire world of truths opens up to you. While I'm aware you're just baiting at this point, I'm rather over this thread, as I know the majority of this forum well enough now to know what the consensus is.
I have eaten all the popcorn, I left none for anyone else.
Its pretty obvious this isn't expectable from a major corp and has nothing to do with femenism ho! or SJWs.
I don't get it. The women voluntarily took the job. Wasn't feminism about letting women have agency in their own lives? If those dancers thought it was demeaning, they would have turned down the work.
I'm a center-leftie, and I think SJWs ( and 3rd wave feminism in particular) are their own worst enemy. They just make themselves look ridiculous, Women shouldn't be trying to micro-manage other women's choices.
Again, feminism = let all women have choice in their own lives. Or so I thought.
People didn't complain about the women dancers, they complained about the presence of any dancers. This was a closed work party that was put on for people who work in game development, not gamers or the public. As it was a professional party hosted by Microsoft, whomever made the choice to put any dancers there violated Microsoft's policies, particularly those that have been put in place to make software/game development more inclusive toward women. That is why Microsoft has denounced the action and apologized. The short of it is that Microsoft has been working for some time to fight the "brogrammer" culture in the tech industry, and this event shot them in the foot.
