The point is that Microsoft hired FEMALE dancers in slutty clothes. Not male dancers. Whether the dancers make money or not is not part of the problem. Their right to be dancers and make money by wearing slutty clothes is completely separate.

Trivial things together amount to normality. The point is that it is not supposed to be normal for women at tech conventions to be the slutty dancers and for men to be the attendees.

I'm a center-leftie, and I think SJWs ( and 3rd wave feminism in particular) are their own worst enemy. They just make themselves look ridiculous, Women shouldn't be trying to micro-manage other women's choices.

People didn't complain about the women dancers, they complained about the presence of any dancers. This was a closed work party that was put on for people who work in game development, not gamers or the public. As it was a professional party hosted by Microsoft, whomever made the choice to put any dancers there violated Microsoft's policies, particularly those that have been put in place to make software/game development more inclusive toward women. That is why Microsoft has denounced the action and apologized. The short of it is that Microsoft has been working for some time to fight the "brogrammer" culture in the tech industry, and this event shot them in the foot.
