I don't own a TV, but I'll watch Game of Thrones on a friend's HBO. Other than that, the only TV I see is through youtube clips of pertinent moments.

I watch TV when I am sick. It'll be saturday afternoon and I have no energy to actually do anything so I lay on the couch or in bed and start marathoning something. I might stay in TV watching mode for another month after I feel better but then I completely lose the habit again.
TO FIX WOW:1. smaller server sizes & server-only LFG awarding satchels, so elite players help others. 2. "helper builds" with loom powers - talent trees so elite players cast buffs on low level players XP gain, HP/mana, regen, damage, etc. 3. "helper ilvl" scoring how much you help others. 4. observer games like in SC to watch/chat (like twitch but with MORE DETAILS & inside the wow UI) 5. guild leagues to compete with rival guilds for progression (with observer mode).6. jackpot world mobs.
Bought a 47" flat screen for my wife to watch her shows on. She passed in 2011 and the TV has sat there unplugged. Should sell it I guess. Other than that I watch about 35 shows regularly, most on my MacPro Tower w/ 35" screen. I am "forced" to watch regular TV (DirectTV) when I am at my dialysis sessions, other than that I torrent everything else to watch (without commercials ). Yes, I am older and don't get around like I would love to, so watching my shows and movies keep me out of trouble when not playing WoW or at dialysis.
Cheers
Tee Vee? You mean Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, Bit Torrent?
My parents and at least 1 set of aunt and uncle still watch loads of it. I just binge watch shows from Netflix, YouTube or other sites.
When work feels overwhelming, remember that you're going to die.
Every television show my family or I watch is downloaded to our media server, and then it's typically watched on our individual devices/computers. The exception is:
1. The Walking Dead
2. The Flash
3. Arrow
We watch those three as a family, but even still they are downloaded and streamed to our television. If I didn't have younger kids, I wouldn't even bother doing that.

I only watch TV for live sports. I think that is all that will keep TV relevant when the older TV watching generation starts kicking the bucket.

easier just to download stuff, i live with a group of guys and for some reason they really enjoy TSN so i ordered only tSN and basic cable + high speed internet for the house. we split the bill and i just download what i want. if im ever bothered to laugh at basic cable i can turn it on, but downloading is legal in Canada mostly because our ISP protects our identities from being released, and the law says you need to upload as well as download files to be held accountable. i simply remove files so they dont upload once they finish downloading.
I pirate the high seas of the internet.
I stream shows and movies or download them if they're not available, but TV? Almost never. My gf insists on keeping it on all day long to make things more lively but when I'm alone I keep it turned off. The last time I watched TV regularly was pre-Mythbusters, when Discovery Channel actually showed a lot of documentaries, nowadays I feel like it's one shitty staged "reality" show after the other, like Storage Wars, Pawn Stars and any of the other hundred shows about dudes doing something for a living and this is how they do it. If I'm desperate I'll watch trashy reality shows like Honey Boo Boo and Keeping Up with the Kardashians though.
Kids these days...they just don't know how good they have it.
Back in mah day we had 4 channels and two were filled with static! And then there was that random porn channel that had no picture and only sound.
Dude you should start reading some books...
I think I'm in the catagory of a lot of others, live only for sports. Hell, and a lot of times even sports are DVRed for later viewing as well.
I don't even watch sports. So no point having cable or satellite... the only TV I ever watched was when I was still living with my parents :P And that hasn't been for years... I moved out when I was 19 (28 in June). I lived with them for a while 4 years ago while my husband was in boot camp, and I didn't even watch TV then. I was more or less just playing video games in the room I shared with my younger sister.
All the shows I do watch (TWD, Game of Thrones, and various others...) I can get on Netflix, or through their prospective websites. It's cheaper, too..
The only time I watch TV is when I am at my parents place. I see no reason to pay for cable myself.
Have cable through my apartment building, sometimes watch news-channel while eating, that's it. I might linger if there's a good documentary running.
I didn't watch TV for many years because playing games on PC or reading a book was much more entertaining. Same goes for my husband.
In our new appartement we have glass fiber and decided to get an 'all-in-one-package' for TV, internet and telephone. Since then we watch occasionally a movie or series, but at the time we like, on PC with second screen, while playing something. We use the TV for watching DVDs.
