SW:TOR did it before D3. D3 was released 2012. SW:TOR had the loot sabers 2011.

I dont think they looked at SWToR for this idea though, I think they looked at D3. Matters not really, good feature that I like.

let's say there's a rare mount loot on a corpse you forgot to loot. This new UI would be helpful imo, despite it's idea coming from an ex-Diablo 3 director (or from other MMO; like SWTOR)

important stuff gets mailed to you, but also i know every mob that drops a rare mount i never forget to loot them.

A beam of light is more than enough. No reason to have the corpse glow, too:

It does help you find mobs with loot. Especially if it's colored to tell you what not to bother with.

'Course it'll be an FPS nightmare if you're soloing old raids by AoEing.

Any deops of green or higher quality gets mailed to you regardless, it's a feature with minimal (if any) impact on the game.

Diablo has some good ideas but they dont work for an MMO, played both games for a decade now. (D3 on an off since it came out, older Diablo games were a staple at LANs when I was a kid.)

But 100% comes out from Diablo 3, just as the weird glowing outline, the new health bar, the bop legendaries, the new challenge mode system, the transmog system, ...

What's with all the Jay Wilson hate? For what it's worth, a lot of the really awesome features (like the loot sabers mentioned in this very thread!) did not come to D3 until he had already left D3 and handed over the reigns to someone else.

Jay Wilson is the worst thing that could've happen to WoW...
He adds so much BS from Diablo 3... he should've stayed at Diablo projects, where he belongs!

I think Diablo 3 has a few concepts which are much more developed than WoW, like transmogs, so I don't know why it's a negative thing that they can interchange ideas to make better games.
