Overwatch's community will be filled with cancerous SJW casuals who are terrible at video games. Def gonna pass on this game.

God, I love the gaming community nowadays.. Let's whine about:
"Tyrande is showing emoshuns! I don't play games for that, blizzard fix! I am so triggered"
"Tracer is showing of her ass! I hate that!" and after they're done posting that "Omg see you <insert whatever "celeb">'s ass? it's so hot"
people are getting way to worked up over imaginary things. It's a bunch of pixels people! Seriously, wtf...
Yeah sure, because the really small number of people in that beta can be called "community", and you can clearly see from that lone guy post that they are only composed of SJW, and that they are bad at vidya.....
Serious bro ?
I'm shitty on SJW more than not, but can we avoid trowing around retarded shit like that ?
They should've given her a badonkadonk as the change lol. Then she'd have something to shake after you win.
Blizzard can do whatever they want, but I hope they know what the results are.
Most people that play female heroes in ANY games will prefer the most attractive one. Take WoW for example, where most people play Night Elf, Human and Draenei female. Ever wonder why Dwarf female is the least played in the game? The same goes for LoL, where, statistically, the most over the top sexual champions will be played most. This is just statistics. This preferance is true for both male and female gamers.
Blizzard knows this as well. When TBC was to be released, they knew many people would not play horde because they are so "ugly". There was a problem in the game that most people prefered Alliance. Therefore it was important for them to add a "sexy" horde race, to get a better balance between Horde and Alliance (and it worked). Jeff Kaplan was actually the one that said this in an interview, so he is fully aware of it.
Even though Zarya is one of the most overpowered (highest win percentage) in the game, she is barely ever played. This is most likely because of how she looks. You can claim that this is horrible and sad however much you want, but it is still true.
Sex sells. Removing the "sexy pose" from Tracer will reduce the interest for some to play her, maybe just slightly. It will hurt her play percentage somewhat.
Blizzard can take a stance and be super politically correct with their character designs, but it will hurt their sales.

dont know if this has been posted, just stumbled into it
While i am reluctant to give you any merit, i can to some extent agree with you, that looks often have something to do with character popularity. While i am not totally sure about the reason you give behind Zarya's low play numbers, where i would say that it has something more to do with range and playstyle, i can agree that sex sells everything. When you eyes are pleased, then so is the mind.
I do think that this entire "scandal" is having a higher effect, then them just removing the pose, even if they put the pose back in the game again.

This bunch of pixels is a part of many peoples primary entertainment tool. Just because it is digital, does not mean that it is not treated as something very real.
People react like this, because some of them actually care. They want to have a say in what will soon become a good deal of their pass time. I think that is very understandable.
Did you guys even read the post linked in the OP? I think she has pretty solid reasoning for why this pose just doesn't fit the character. Maybe mentioning her daughter was going too far, but for character reasons I can totally see why the pose needed to be changed.
Pretty much sums up. But I guess you white straight mid-20's men need something to fap over right?WHAT? What about this pose has anything to do with the character you're building in tracer? It's not fun, its not silly, it has nothing to do with being a fast elite killer. It just reduces tracer to another bland female sex symbol.
