Creating an image of yourself, be it with a camera, paintbrush or pencil is called a 'self portrait'. It makes my skin crawl that almost with 100% certainty, some fuckwit teenager during a school trip to the local art gallery has referred to at least one painting a 'selfie' without even the slightest hint of irony.
