And she started yet another kickstarter project.

Another Kickstarter project that she has already done most of the filming for, thus raising the question of what the purpose of the money she's asking for is. And it was filmed when she should have been working on the first project too!

She failed her kickstarter , took the money , all of her examples are WRONG.

She shows in her videos she doesn't even play video games , just look how wrong ALL HER POINTS are ! ( since the hitman being a game about killing women , then to batman not showing his ass )

I honestly think anita is just ( as stated above ) a con-artist , taking advantage of the "I'mopressed!!" ppl. ( you know those that don't actually DO anything , or try to MAKE anything, they just critique and try to change what YOU did , to fit them )

She absolutely is, just look at how hard she is trying to shut down criticism against her. She's not interested in any debate or to raise awareness or any other kind of bullshit she claims, she is purely doing this for money, and it's a nice way to find out who the idiots are for believing her bullshit.

I watched this one video and got material for the post. I asked some questions and got responded with a mirror post and suppression techniques. This defensive behaviour is why I posted.

It's hardly pornographic. It's what sells, and has sold for a while. It happens already, not just because of Sarkeesian, because of her ilk.

No one is raging, people are just passionate about letting devs make what they want to make. Most of us are just tired of con artists like Sarkeesian criticizing a medium that she doesn't take part in. She doesn't play games, she is and always has been in it for the money.

Even in this video you can see her droning on reading directly off a script in a monotone voice, not even shes convinced about what shes saying, why should we be?

In the end I'm against all types of outrage culture that her and her ilk propagate.

I think it's important to challenge tropes in video games, although I agree some of it seems contrived, like the part about Destiny and I really don't think Japanese game devs will stop making extremely objectified female characters. I think awareness about it is a step in the right direction, I don't support censorship.

I think it's funny/weird that she even mentiones Ellie. That girl is clearly underage (doesn't prevent Rule 34 though), a companie can not afford the accusation of sexualy objectifying minors

Few, if any are raging. And those that you quoted left a single post and left. People actually discussing and doing nothing close to raging. They are disagreeing with her because she heavily favors her way via heavy handed censorship and forced changes through bullying.

Depends on the formula and the person's consistency. Some people get payed per item, and you can withdraw support at any time if the quality starts to slip where they're pumping out tons of shit quality material to game the patreon payouts. Others get donations per month, and you can withdraw if they're not putting out timely updates.

It's a better system than kickstarter, in my opinion, for any item of a serial nature.

It's a great way for narcissists to exploit the gullible, the foolish and the vulnerable. I'll say that much. It's particularly dangerous when personality cults start to form around those using it - because even constructive feedback and criticism will be brushed off rather easily. Add that to very little in the way of accountability and...well, it can easily become a mess.

There's a few gems here and there but they're generally the exception rather than the norm.
