I really hope Overwatch doesnt force us to PVP

i have skimmed a few pages but i am assuming the reason he asks this question is probably there will be something you can get in wow by playing overwatch (like battlepet or something - i hear the one from hots is pretty overpowered), so it is kinda legit to ask if he will be able to get that without doing pvp

If you are bad, then you are bad. You can still have fun whilst being bad, and eventually a good matchmaking system should put you against other bad players so you can have a more rewarding experience.

On topic: yeah "force us to PVP" means you are not having fun playing the game the way its intended, so instead of making it feel like a drag maybe you should play another game

I mean i hope it will be like Heroes of the Storm where you can get 100% of the rewards, complete your quests and level up your profile just by playing against bots, Overwatch should give this opportunity aswell. Hearthstone is the only blizzard game that forces me to pvp in order to progress the adventure mode campaing and this is a bit turndown, i was forced to buy the campaings with real money so i dont have to bother with the others i just hope Overwatch is the same

It was a simple question and the thread just exploded with nonsense when the question was more or less-can we play against AI or not and can we get comparable rewards if there is any.

Woah settle down there Captain Elitist. Getting 'mocked' by players shouldn't be a thing in every game out there, what does that really add to the game? Some people hate losing or getting beat down and then mocked at the same time. It would be nice to have other options (aka vs bots) when those people need to cool down.

At the same time some people are ONLY playing this game to unlock rewards in other games. You can bet that WoW/D3/Heroes will have things unlocked for owning Overwatch and likely some for achievements earned in Overwatch. Remember in Heroes when you had to get level 20 to unlock a pet in WoW? Same kinda thing. Not everyone wants to PVP to get something for WoW that they are forced to do for collection completions in WoW.

Lets be honest here, if LoL was all hearts and rainbows it wouldn't have the sigma of having a toxic community like it does now. Apart of that reason is that it's a team game, people want to win. If a player plays poorly that player most likely will be called out and possibly harassed. That isn't fun for anyone. Overwatch you obviously need to work as a team, if you have one or 2 crappy players you're gonna see people rage on those players. I understand why people want to play with bots, either to practice or just not face angry players. Will Overwatch have a similar community, I don't know. I mean when I play TF2 from time to time, I never really ran into players that crapped on bad players, same with Rocket League for the most part. The Overwatch open beta was fun for me and I don't think I am a good player (although being told I was a good Reinhart made my day =D).

Unless overtuned severely, any bots you play against wouldn't require as much effort. I like LoL take on it.. sure you can play against the easy AI, but the rewards are lowered to compensate.

I mean, look at Heroes of the Storm. You don't think they'll have a similar reward rate?
