Goblin/Worgen/Pandaren starting quests were awful. The less we see them in the future, the better. WoW, unlike its pale imitations, was always about freedom of exploration.

as when i boosted my 90 during the pre WOD expac, he had a different version of the battle for the dark portal then my already level 90 characters did.

Personally I thought Tanaan was great, and while they should probably make future things optional after you've done them on a character or two (although, why, it's a good 50% of a level with heirlooms) I'm hoping every expansion going forward has a nice lore-heavy introductory questline line DK's starting zone, Tanaan, what the Broken Shore sounds like or Artifact questlines.
Yeah you wish buddy. There are no valid comparisons between the Tanaan intro quest which is totally skip able, available to any class and an intro to an expansion and the DK starter zone which is not skip able, only available to one class and is the boosting intro experience for that class. They are totally different but keep making yourself look stupid. If the mods have any sense they would ban you.

Seriously.... what was wrong with the DK intro quests/zone. Yes it could have been better but it told a decent story, let you learn your abilities and actually had some meaning. Your character was doing something, I'd honestly prefer a lot more story based quests. Would love it if the zones changed as I did quests, the NPCs reacted differently after the quest line progressed... how would that be a bad thing?
Yep no doubt DK intro quest is one of the best experience in the game. It shows the theme of the class and the story behind it.
But intro quest for zones are different though. WoD intro quest you have to do on every char and it does get boring after first few times. It would be nice to have an alternative even if that takes longer or less rewarding.
I appreciate the work you're doing, Hyde. People need to know they were wrong after they forced their smug wrongness in our face.

Why would this matter. You do intend to level right?
So why would you need to stop 2 minutes into the process and do something else?
This is really not a negative in any way, but even if it was, the positives vastly outweigh. Quest lines like this allow for proper introduction of key elements. Its very healthy for the video game, and although it seems linear and scripted, you can still play through it as quickly as you can any other quest set. It doesn't force you to do anything you wouldn't already be doing.
