It looks cut heavier than the film would be, so I'm going to think it was just not a good job on whoever was responsible for getting this clip out. That being said, while my hype level for the movie isn't going down...I'm getting clip fatigue. I'm starting to feel like I've watched half the movie in a disjointed and weirdly cut fashion. Not liking this current trend of marketing for hero movies.

It certainly is. I'm just hoping he lives so he can, as you said, fight another day. It'd
be kinda cool if this is to Zemo what Winter Soldier was to Crossbones.

Also, Variety's Civil War review stated

"One senses the growing schism between Captain America and Iron Man will be healed in the long run (though perhaps not until after the two-part 'Avengers: Infinity War', which the Russos are set to direct)."
So I'm thinking Cap doesn't die here after all.

I was exactly the same with Age of Ultron. I hoovered up every scrap of info I could, to such an extent that when I finally sat down to actually watch the film, I felt bored because I'd already seen so many of the "big" moments.

So for Civil War I'm taking the relaxed path. I'm still super hyped but I'm avoiding the press as much as I can, I've not watched any more of the media since the Spidey reveal and haven't watched anything more than once. Hopefully this will lead to Civil War feeling fresh when I actually watch it for the first time.

On the contrary I have taken the relaxed path with Ultron and felt the same. However I am sucking up all the info in regards to Dr Strange and Civil War and just too hyped. Why is the time going so slow? HURRY UP 29TH!

For Ultron I looked for every single spoiler I could and went into the movie pretty much knowing everything I could about it. Gone the opposite route with Civil War, beyond knowing a few bits and peices from trailers, I know nothing and I can't wait.

Not sure how I feel about this... On one hand I was hoping for someone like Kathryn Winnick or Katee Sackhoff, on the other hand Tessa is a great actress and not to hard on the eyes either.
Hmm...almost as bad an idea as making Iron Fist Asian.

oh yeah, because that character whos entire origin, power set, and belief set thats asian would be so worse if he was in fact asian and not a mighty whitey trope.

the reason they made danny white is because while some people were disappointed you ultimately cant be too upset when thats the original depiction while having him be asian would be awesome it too would just be a mystical asian trope.

in order to compromise theyre going to have a backdoor pilot for master of kung fu by having shang chi in iron fist like they had punisher in daredevil and if the audience likes him master of kung fu will be part of phase 2 of netflix marvel along with punisher, moon knight, and possibly ghost rider and blade, but the latter two are still up in the air on how they would handle those characters.

blade might end up as a movie since snipes is back, ghost rider would require heavy cgi and even more mystical elements than iron fist and they dont know if they want that in netflix

    - - - Updated - - -

also, incase you didnt know, marvel actually auditioned both white AND asian actors for iron fist. at one point they were really leaning towards having danny be asian

o yeah...lets ignore the original character period.

While we're making silly commentary, lets make Power Man white too.

Him being white is part of his character. I don't know much abou Valkyrie but I doubt her character has anything to do with her race other than that she is Asgardian.

Valkyrie is going to need a very different backstory unless the MCU decides Asgardians are literal deities and set up an afterlife for human souls.

See, but here's the problem. People (not picking on you) like to make sweeping statements like this in the whole ethnicity and diversity stuff for these movies...but it's almost insulting to think that we value certain cultures higher than others. 'Asgardian' used to be a direct correlation for Scandinavian ancestry via their mythology. So in a way we're saying that American white culture is important, but Nordic culture is not.

I mean think about that...that's what is happening by ethnicwashing Asgard. I get the need to diversify characters who portray less than significant roles....I get that comics weren't really progressive when these characters were made...but at the same time if we just stuck to the source material for heroes and celebrated the diversity via narrative and inclusion, like having Black Panther and Luke Cage be relevant (which they are doing) there would be no need for arbitrary race swaps.

They ethnicwashed asgard in the comics already, its been that way for quite a while, all through thors resurrection, dark avengers, back through fear itself. Tons of people in asgard, all colours.

A "while" meaning recently. (Thor's resurrection had no black characters. Sorry. Straczynski kept the original flavor, and wanted to put the "God" back in the God of Thunder)

I want Marvel to remember why these comic book characters became popular to begin with.
Or are they becoming stupid already in that they think they can just go away from that...Seems it's going that way.

But hey, lets make Black Panther hispanic!
