Stop that, they won't work. If only due to Blizzard not wanting.
Besides, no matter how much broken logic is spewed back and forth by all parties here in this thread, one thing remains certain:
I'm still playing the game I want on official servers, you're not.
Call me petty but I win.
/leaving thread for now.

I know that's sometimes a hard to grasp concept for such an oppressed breed but I am despite the ridiculous demeanor of the gief vanilla whiners neither for nor against vanilla servers. I am simply stating the ideas are laughable even if it is for the very simple reason Blizzard being not willing to do any of that for the time being. The financial aspect is just what makes it a bit more sad.
They don't want their brand to be associated with a bunch of who gives a shit. That might change but that's the way it is. They also want all their active titles in the battle.net client. These are not some outrageous revelations.

Sigh...
Blizzard has licensed WoW to a 3rd party for China:
http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company...tml?id=4639485
This same company, NetEase, has a presence in North America.
Is it possible Blizzard could work with NetEase on Vanilla Realms? Yes.
Is it possible that this would not work for Blizzard? Yes
Don't assume that Blizzard is required to run and staff vanilla realms themselves.
They have options.
Summary of your stance : it's illegal, blizzard doesn't want to, stop all discussion right now.
You add nothing to this discussion, there's no point in reading your posts because it's the same crap every time.
The discussion will not stop, regardless of how much you whine.
People will not stop playing on private servers, the only way to prevent it is to offer a better product.
Well and then there comes current reality which states nope but if all this is is entertaining far fetched ideas so be it - anyfin can happen.
I'd take bets not even 5 of 929 current pages add anything worthwhile so it's perfectly fitting.
Dang it's 930.

I'm not sure what point you are trying to make.
Yes, Blizzard licensed WoW to NetEase to bring it to China.
"Currently, Blizzard and NetEase collaborate to bring World of Warcraft®, StarCraft® II, and Hearthstone™: Heroes of Warcraft™, and the Battle.net® gaming platform to millions of Chinese gamers."

[...] we have an intolerance for ideas and evidence that don’t fit a certain ideology. I’m also not saying that we should restrict people to certain gender roles; I’m advocating for quite the opposite: treat people as individuals, not as just another member of their group (tribalism)..
