I doubt Dark Apotheosis will be a glyph, if for no other reason than it is a cooldown transformation. A glyph to make VF like current unglyphed SF would be more likely, and more reasonable.

Dark Archangel was a cooldown too.

Also, the dark angel of death suits us... we're shadow priest in the end. Sure we cast void spells, but we're still shadowpriests and member of the priest class.

Anyway, that would be such a waste of awesomeness

I get that. What I mean is that it would be weird for one spec to get a new special graphic for a cooldown while another spec gets to stay in that special graphic full time via a glyph. Dark Archangel is different, since it was once a graphic for the spec. I think the consensus leans towards a glyph to minimize the graphical noise of VF regardless, which is the point of glyphs now.

Well I understand what you mean. I just think it will be such a missed opportunity. With how restricting the glyphs will be (afaik you can only have one per spell)... it would be cool for them to be more "significant" like a Dark Apotheosis.

Anyway, I know it surely won't happen anytime soon but one can hope.

Tho I agree that ultimately, they should just bring a tentacless voidform.

Because Dark Archangel was a very popular look while available. Even after the removal of the ability, it lived on in the DP glyph.

All of the wings and birds and feathers imagery is Holy stuff. It's angelic, it's graceful, it's of the Light. The Void is all about horrific power, mind-bending forces, maybe vampirism if you're into that sort of thing.

Maybe I could get behind Blood Queen Lana'thiel style wings, but then you start looking like a demon hunter.

It's hard to have one visual that represents a shadow priest when there's so many conflicting themes. It only makes sense to have a bunch of cosmetic glyphs available to allow each player to customize their priest to their liking with such an unclear thematic direction for the spec.

Well it does "fix" the issue of our heals/utility costing either Insanity or nothing with a CD. I agree you could balance them around a low insanity cost, but it would probably feel pretty bad to use your utility then when in Voidform especially in PvP where things are a bit faster.

Alanar. Not all angels are holy. Hell, we even had Dark Archangel as spell as SHADOWPRIEST and now it's a disc pvp talent.

Everything that is Holy in WoW can be Shadow/Void too. It's duality.

Naaru turn into Void God that can be turned back into Naaru.

So yeah, dark apotheosis still makes sense.

Well, blizzard revealed that legion is coming august 30, i think we can take for sure that we can't expect any significant changes anymore. I'm still a little sad about our aoe and the lost of PH but i have to start and conform myself about that.

And about feathers, angelic, holy and wings, even in christianity there is the figures of Fallen Angels with their black wings.
