Once again, this is not a qq thread at all. This has nothing to do with equality stuff or some sort. Think of it like a class specific xmog on MoP's gold CM reward, that each of the class has their own specific set of armor that represent their class uniqueness. It's really for cosmetic reason. Nothing more.

Khadgar says in the alpha that it's Atiesh (his weapon) that allows him to turn into the raven. Also, it's just way too similar to the druid's flight form.

I was unaware of that, I haven't seen much of the Alpha beyond the artifact quests so far.

If it were possible though or if they decide to give mages a similar ability in the future, they could always make the transformation a bit more unique by making it a small phoenix or something.

Called Glyph of Travel, already implemented in the game. Funny thing is, since you can use glyphs at lvl 25, druids have an epic mount 15 levels before anyone else.

The thing is, it makes sense for those that have class specific mounts. I'm sorry but Paladins as warriors of the light have the noble charger, warlocks as summoners of demons have a demonic horse. DK's because they are the hero class as with DH. All classes having a class specific mount is not needed. Those that have it are really specific and it makes sense for them to have said mount, especially for lore reasons. WoW's biggest mistake was getting rid of the quests for the Paladin/Lock mounts as it made a lot more sense to have to do them, it brought in the lore and everything that went with them.

Thing about lore for the excuse is kinda tricky imo. I mean, you see how they force Goblin Shaman into game for example. Or even Tauren pally and priest (or so called "sunwalker"). They can always come up with the most twisted lore they want. This is their game afterall, it's them who spin the lore. But I agree that it's kinda pity they removed the Pally/Lock mount quest. It maybe no longer relevant this day, but they can always update it to stay in touch with the class' lore and identity.

Especially Warrior and Rogue.

Imma gonna write some ideas down below:
Mage: Some kind of Scroll, or Flying book maybe? A transformation would be fine too.
Druid: I like the Stag idea, but I sure do love me some trollish bat form.
Warrior: Starts to get hard here... with the new valhalla theme... maybe some armoured moose or something... (honestly no idea)
Hunter: You can choose one of your pets
Priest: Depends on your Specialisation. For shadow... maybe some kind of faceless... Holy/disc? I have no idea.
Monk: I would love a rolling barrel for brewmaster. Or maybe Yolon for heal, Xuen for WW and Niuzao for Brewmaster?
Shaman: As I said some kind of elemental.
Rogue: As much as I love the grappling hook, I could really see some kind of parcours for more running speed.

Implementing that should be rather easy, they are already in the game in that MoP brewery dungeon.

I really love how they came up with order halls. All of them are beautiful to me. Sure, it's not an easy task to put it into the game. But I don't think it's harder than to build the halls. They can always make new mounts, then why not with the class specific model design? I don't really care about the lore concept tbh. They can always force the most nonsensical lore to us anyway. I'm more to the visually design concept. Hence, like I said before it's more for cosmetic reason. But if they can make it fit with the actual class fantasy lore-wise in a sense, it'd be even better.

I actually dig that rolling barrel. It's gonna be sooo much fun to see them rolling everywhere, specifically BGs XD.

Ayyy cheetah4lyfe! I swear to god they best not remove cheetah in legion, I have heard whispers and rumors. I think I would quit if they did, even though people will say dont be melodramatic, but really I will be. Because I see druids losing more and more of that hybrid shapeshifter feel that made them what they are. Its my biggest complaint with blizzard, class spec fantasy is all good and well, till you come to a class like druids. They are already the biggest fantasy class you can get, they hardly need to be pruned into being less hybrid and more single targeted specs. /end rant

Same. However, after the classic Charger no longer requires any quest or effort to get, I've grown more fond of the Argent Charger -- Paladin-specific mount from the Argent Tournament in Icecrown. That at least had to be earned.

Besides, the classic Charger desperately needs a graphics update.

Totally. I was so proud when I finally got my classic charger. One of the first on the server I was. Those black pristine diamonds man... I ran dungeons 24/7 to get one. Then finally one day I was with my own guild and it actually dropped! I've had seen it drop before was usually with a pug. Pugging it, meant that if the other player who would ofcourse "NEED" it, was greedy... I would have to buy it from him/her otherwise it would go to the Auction House. What a lousy way to go about it. On the other hands if you were rich you could get your mount rather quickly. Still the actual end quest in Scholomance was damn hard (preprenerf). Over time they nerfed it so you could almost solo it. Anyway... yeah this mount lost its meaning after they destroyed that questline.

I then used the Argent Charger as a true paladin mount instead. Which honestly is also a tad more pretty. Sadly that mount can just be collected by doing dailies over and over. No true paladin quest involved. But it is still something you earn.
