WWE Legend Chyna Found Dead in Her Home at Age 45

WWE legend Chyna, whose real name was Joanie Laurer died Wednesday, according to a post on her Facebook page.

“It is with deep sadness to inform you today that we lost a true icon, a real life superhero. Joanie Laurer aka Chyna, the 9th wonder of the world has passed away. She will live forever in the memories of her millions of fans and all of us that loved her, the post read.

Laurer was found dead at her home, according to ProWrestlingSheet.com.

R.I.P, I remember watching her with HHH/DX back in the day.

Damn, I remember watching her too when I was a kid. I know she OD'd like 3 or 4 years ago, so I wonder if this was also the cause of her death. She did an interview with Howard Stern awhile ago too where she said she quit cocaine but if it was in front of her she wouldn't be able to resist snorting it.

Looks like she was doing healthy things and all that. I'm guessing it's either a health issue having to do with her body building and all that BS, including steroids, which she always denied having taken, but I mean look at her. Or, it's suicide.

Probably was suicide/overdose. She had been trying to reconcile with WWE for the last year I thought. Sucks 15 years later they were still treating her like shit. She might get into the Hall of Fame now.. assholes.

Agreed. I always though it was odd they kinda erased her out of the WWE due to porn. Even more so when they had a wrestler who roles was to act like a guy porn star.

Maybe there was more to it like the drugs. the WWE of today is sooo different then the WWE from 15+ years ago. Shitty they also erased hulk hogan over a interview...

Was never a fan of wrestling, but I knew of her pretty well. She went to my high school, a while before me, but still, she was of an area family. That's sad.

It's supposed to be a PG family show, people who make their living by having sex with multiple people at a time in exchange for money aren't very PG (especially when you can Google videos of it). The porn star wrestler was based entirely on innuendo (and was back in the 90's when the company/show targeted an older audience). They also erased a murderer and temporarily cut all mention of Hulk Hogan for over a year after his racism scandal.

They also had the God Father and his hoes back in the day. If I recall right just a few years ago they had him back on WWE for one night.

The thing is going PG or not they shouldn't erase people that helped build it to what it is. They didn't temporarily cut all mentin of Hulk Hogan they have outrigh removed him even from there Hall of Fame.

Chyna was from the same era. It definitely wasn't a family show during that era.
