OTOH there are so many solo players playing MMORPGs.. it would be nice to have progression outside of matchmade groups.

Well yeah, that is exactly why I said Artifact Power is useful :P It's a generic reward you can put pretty much anywhere to make activities have value.
I just think there is still value to be had in things you experience once and then aren't expected to keep repeating (like the artifact questlines for example), if the Brawler's Guild suddenly started giving out gear then there'd be pressure to do it repeatedly.

I hope they keep Silver Proving Ground requirement for dungeons.

I just hope they change it, again. The one is WoD was so strangely designed that for some specs Silver was "push your buttons and just have some vague idea about target switching" and for others, such as a fresh 100 (ilvl below 600) Boomkin and perhaps Fire Mage, it was like some kind of World's First soloing experience that should have come with an achievement for doing it.

I think the main problem was that they simply took the MoP one, but with the ability pruning there simply weren't the tools available they had back then. They should have created new proving grounds with that in mind and imo also different between melee and range DPS.

I know that feeling. But then again, PvPer had to deal with Ashran for a whole expansion. I think they deserved a mount like that.

I actually completely disagree. Both preach and asmon recently made videos about the current wow community and the constant hate towards things based on false information. They have both been giving adequate feedback throughout the beta/alpha progress. Asmon, who is more extreme imo, in terms of differing philosophies, doesn't think there should be such a level of gratification and reward at such a quick pace in the game. Preach agrees, just doesn't voice that stance as loudly and as often. Neither of them advocate people going on forums and spamming others. Whereas people such as Az make videos taking things way out of proportion, promoting uninformed bitching and hating directly.

I don't watch either one of them myself. However, I had an interesting call from my brother who lives across the country from me. He has been watching Asmond's videos and was quite concerned about the alpha and telling me all the things wrong with it. He didn't know I was actually in the alpha, until I told him I was, and to quit watching streamer videos and don't go on forums because of the toxic posts. Granted you can find very informative information on forums, but more than likely you're going to have at least 2 or 3 people who want to spew Blizzard hatred and bash anything others might find good. My advice to him (since he already pre-ordered) was to stay away from everything and be totally surprised when it launches then you can form your own opinion, good or bad.
