Honestly if something about the Orgrim/Blackhand dynamic must be changed than is actually better to not have them related in any way. Anything going far from a simple and "honorable" duel between the two wouldn't do justice to Orgrim.
What would be better is direct Orgrim towards Gul'dan directly and showing him exposing the warlock's bullshit. After all, if Gul'dan has killed Durotan so easily with his magic, Orgrim managing to subdue Gul'dan and expose him like a traitor would be more than enough to guarantee him the Warchief title.
