First of all, most of the characters don't have mail. :P Second, no one actually thought the armor was fake, people just said it looked fake. And last but not the least, they actually stepped up their game and the armor looks much better now on every character. But it may just be my brain getting accustomed to it and the hype deleting the plastic look, in my own head.

Well I'm just stupefied that some of the armor I've seen so far is more historically accurate (in a fantasy movie) compared to some of the crap in movies labelled as "historical". Goes to show that people don't really know what they're talking about when they say it looks fake.

FYI, the matte/plastic look of the armor in earlier trailers is probably to cut down on green-screen bounce during filming. It should be better after all the compositing, color correction, etc. is finished.
