Its an easier choice for sure, I've not had a lot of luck with women in life. Now I'm not on the "hate all women" boat, I'm on the self hate boat more and I know that its my own fault for the most part that I have not had good luck with women. They medicate heavily and overly in the states, as a teacher I have so many kids on medicine, and I talked with my mom about it (she has been a teacher for +20 years) and she says it keeps getting worse, every year more people are being "diagnosed" with ADHD that are just children with energy and they become zombies.

On topic: I fit to the study, but it is a symptom of my shitty taste in women. My past 4 relationships I was either cheated on or the woman was so needed that if I didn't text them regularly they would break down and assume I didn't want then/was cheating on them, when I don't need that much contact (its nice to talk daily, but if they are busy its okay too, and the constant shit I can't handle). I understand part of it is my taste, and now that I am older I don't like to go to bars or clubs, so meeting women is harder, I know I struggle to get girls I want, thus creating a distaste for me to play the game and struggle more when I come home tired from work already and want to relax.

I have a close friend whose made some bad life choices. She is mother to a child of a then local errrr.... snowboarder? Idk what his job is but he has 3 kids by three different moms within the same time frame. Not sure what she does now but she made bad choices and now wants to date again but really I can see her tastes have changed now that she has a kid to manage, guys she wouldn't have looked at now become solid choices.

Our culture lacks strong messaging or cultural mythology about women who waited to long. There are as far as I know zero movies were women DON'T find the guy of their dreams no matter how fucked up she is. There exists no stories, no idioms, no terms for it. We somewhat have "Spinster," but its a fading relic of a word.

The English language lacks stories about these sorts of people. The typical cultural narrative is that all of us have worth, all of us are worthy of love and we will get the right guy no matter our faults. As a great example there exists the Marilyn Monroe meme, "If you can't handle me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best." Ignoring the fact that Marilyn Monroe couldn't handle herself at her worst and she ended herself.

Unfortunately it is a bit of both, some parents just aren't ready for the energy of a child and resort to drugs to slow them down so they don't have to deal with it, some of the kids genuinely need it, and finally there for a while doctors were over diagnosing because it brought them money and parents would believe the child NEEDED the medicine when they really would have been fine and leveled off without.

Honestly a majority of them don't need drugs, they need better/proper diets and the issues would go away (but alas I feel like parenting in general has issues that society is ignoring/not addressing).

I think the narrative reflects the spirit of our age, this is a very female friendly time. We are uniquely blessed with an almost sinless status, which carries a lot of cultural capital.

Being basically without the capacity for sin, evil, malice, or bad nature is a powerful force when society simply hands you that.
