There is no sign on the internet better at indicating someone knows their wrong, than stooping to insults. I'm sure that every person on this forum can respond to him the same way and at no point he will realize the issue is his explaining. After all, the guy thinks I'm trying to be clever, because I couldn't read his mind to realize that his use of 'biological impact', actually meant 'get you high'.

You mean people are going to smoke inside their houses and not give everyone around them cancer? Sounds like a win to me! The purpose of banning cigarettes is to reduce the number of people smoking. If you don't think banning cigarettes would drastically cut down the amount of people who smoke, you're delusional. I've said this like 30 times now. You literally just proved my point with this post, thanks.

Biological effect, not impact. It's time to stop posting.

Okay, seriously, are you Americans all on crack? Has someone tested the water in all the major cities. This is what you consider elite talent for running your nation? WTF are you guys doing. It's hilarious, but scary all at the same time.
been doing studies on schedules of reinforcement lately, couldnt agree more, gambling is the definition of stealing from the poor to give to the rich, and poor are much more likely than rich to get addicted.
a ban on gambling seems more appropriate to me, especially slot machines and even lotteries.
We're pretty informed about cigarette consumption. I believe our European and Asian counterparts smoke more than we do.
The excise tax on it covers a lot.

Impact is a synonym of effect, while biological effect is not a synonym of 'getting high'... you are also posting memes now... A little self awareness goes a long way...

I don't think it should be. There are probebly things that should be banned, but I cannot think of any this early in the morn. I just don't pretend there is some sort of health benefit that outweighs the health detriment, even if it supports my opinion to pretend it does.

Cool, more industry-destroying ideas from that guy
Nobody is forcing anyone to gamble, people that gamble do it willfuly. I gamble, and thats my problem, and I dont expect the governament or some people to make me stop it. Is it bad? Yeah, but thats my business. My responsabillity.
And bernie supporters get mad when someone calls him a commie... the more time passes, the more he looks like a lunatic/child

cigarette butt litter is the #1 thing I hate about smokers, I hope they make it illegal for that alone.

The persons own mind is forcing them, its addictive, addictions cause people to perform actions they may not want to.
If you are responsible enough with your wealth and know when to quit, then i have no problem with you gambling, but those who are poor generally are the kind of people who arent responsible enough in the first place, gambling away what little they have because they are psychologically conditioned to repeat the action even with out rewards.
Whats worse is when they get into debt through gambling, its nearly irreversible. The gambling industry thrives because of people like this, suckers who waste their paychecks on an abysmal chance that they might get their money back or more, Its just rich who know the psychology on gambling preying on those who do not, the wealth doesnt come from the wealthy, studies show that wealthy people are less likely to gamble, so casinos suck their wealth out of the poor
It also affects society as a whole in many ways, since its preying on the poor and those who lack self control, its likely that they end up with nothing at the end and will have to resort to other options, either they will rely on benefits, siphoning tax payers money into the pockets of the wealthy, or in extreme circumstances they will turn to crime.
They may also have dependents, children who will have to go to school without food, who in turn cant focus, then get shit grades, low self esteem and then become a burden on the state.
If you really love gambling so much you can do it in your own home im fine with that, but there should be a ban on casinos and slots in pubs that are easy to access and detrimental to society.
Im not interested in laws that are impossible to enforce, but making it harder for poor to become addicted to something detrimental to them just seems like a smart direction for an intellegent society to take
We need more money shifting from the rich to the poor to create a bigger middle class, not the other way around.
