GoT does take it a bit over the top; at times you can fast-forward over several minutes and not miss anything essential to the story. Idk what are they trying to prove. Pretending to be artistic by "shocking" with sex and nudity got old and boring decades ago, but rubbing it in the face like it would be the main content is getting just as annoying as some unneeded and unwanted biblical moral lecture would.

none - all take it from the tens of thousdands of years of this kind of tradition - ill give you example - just today i read article that just last year in vietnam over 3000 women were abducted to china not to be put into brothels only to be sold as wives for chinese men who couldnt find themselve females due to 1 child policy of china goverment.

They depict the world as Martin described it. And if there is a secret meeting in a whorehouse, it's likely you'll see some whores. There was no scene of nudity so far that felt forced or unnecessary to me, allthough they could have avoided some of them. I think it was way worse in Jessica Jones. The sex scenes there felt as if they were in it just so they can say 'we have sex scenes to!'

I've actually seen every episode. And yes, the porn scenes are pretty half-assed, but more than explicit enough to make the show uncomfortable or impossible to watch with family around. Besides, there's nothing that the wonderful world of internet wouldn't already do better, which makes it even more pointless.

It was a couple of minutes and it was a scene in a fucking brothel...It's immersive (considering they wouldn't just sit there staring at Littlefinger) and it provided characterization for Littlefinger through his guiding them and his reactions.
