And this is the key point of this thread, I think. Are there some absolutely crazy women out there? Absolutely. But if you walk around thinking that all women are crazy based on the information you read and post about on MMO Champion, then you'll never meet a woman.

And this is the crux of the entire crux of the issue, there are men who have convinced themselves that every relationship they could possibly get into is too good to be true, and that they're safer not going on dates or getting into relationships. The OP and others are prime examples of this.

If you aren't interested in a relationship, you're usually happily single and never found whining about the behavior of women in a relationship. There are many people who pretend not to be interested, but their behavior gives them away.

No, it is not true. I mean, if you want to have pessimistic approach to life, "Life is shit, sometimes it is just a bit less of a shit", then, by all means, go ahead - but giving the advice to do so to others is pretty jerky.

It's because more people in your life just leads to more problems. Porn is easier then women, and cheaper. Life sucks and is pointless. We will all die and nothing will be gained from 98% of us existing. The human race is already overpopulated, we don't need more reproduction, we need less. Video games are fun. Porn is fun. Both are better than the alternative, and I say this based on experience. After a failed marriage and lack of interest in progressing in the work place (i make more than enough money at this point for one person) the only reason for my existence is to make myself happy. Porn and Video Games make me happy. This is life. Life is brutal and unfair. Escape if with me. Run from responsibility. Leave everyone behind. Hide on the internet. Here you can be yourself. Here you can be anyone. We are faceless.

I'm actually very happy. Just because I understand the insignificance of a human life doesn't mean I'm not happy. The universe is billions of years old. Our 100 years means nothing against the curtain of time. I'm also not selfish, I just don't surround myself with people. My close 4-6 friends know that I spend money and time on them.

Nah, I don't subscribe to that sort of nihilism. The fact you even contemplate your own existence enough to think its meaningless is miraculous in it's own right. For me the sheer expanse of the universe is breathtaking and wonderful to behold. You can forge your own meanings you don't need god to find purpose.

I completely agree with you. My life is about making me happy, which I stated. I do believe that life on Earth has no grand meaning, but I do think we each create out own meaning. I spend a lot of time thinking about life and the cosmos (and watching to many science documentaries)

People choose the easier route in life, however these things aren't a replacement truly and may be a reason for increased suicide rates in middle aged men as they're alone. I think maybe these men would've been this way in previous times too, but the Internet has made being isolated easier.

To be fair, that really isn't all that applicable. Being an econ guy, I assume you're well aware of mathematicians with little insight in the finance domain being quite the performer. More along the lines of sports, I know a few guys part of a company that was acquired by STATS who knew nothing about basketball yet are transforming sports analytics.

When I've encountered what you've described, it's been more about predicting outcomes, not telling others how to achieve said outcomes.

A sports analyst might say that Andy Dalton is about to get in the Seahawks' booty, since Andy Dalton plays very well when he's at home and when Aj Green and Tyler Eifert are healthy.

A sports analyst isn't going to say when Dalton should call audibles and run a 10 yd QB sneak in the end-zone.

But again, sports economics and analyctics are subjects I don't dabble in much (Though I probably should try to win money playing fan duel). From what I've seen of it, I don't see how financial analysis is similar.
