Really don't know what goes on in Japan. The Hikki could be a bunch of men who would rather stay home and hide away. Most likely without a job, and unattractive to the women in Japan. Really no idea what's going on over there.

Gaming is just a hobby, but porn is probably a substitution for the lack of the real thing. I would think these men would rather have the real thing than porn.
A stereotype is there, yes. The question is how relevant it is, if at all.

I think there are strong parallels between what's happening in Japan, and what's described in the article. I doubt women have anything to do with it, too.

Well, there are some couples that have a lot of sex, and yet watch porn, together sometimes. I wouldn't be so sure.

Not for casual sex, that would be hypocritical

For more than that, sure we do

    2 exceptions:
    - beggars can't be choosers
    - charlie sheen

Implying you're a good man when you judge people for their amount of partners. Yeah, no.

Some of us find polygamy attractive.

Like, people are largely serial monogamists, even those who engage in casual sex.

Again, aren't you asexual? I guess I'm just confused as to what asexual people find sexy

Neither. Ideal relationships don't wage battle on dominance. Equal or otherwise.
Porn isn't really a substitution for me at all. Sometimes I want sex, sometimes porn. They're two totally different things. Just like sometimes I want to stay at home and watch a TV show or play a game alone, and sometimes I feel like going out and being social. They're very different things.
'Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead
Or a yawing hole in a battered head
And the scuppers clogged with rotting red
And there they lay I damn me eyes
    All lookouts clapped on Paradise
All souls bound just contrarywise, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

You could say that. I think it depends on what goes beyond casual sex in those interactions, if any.

Different people mean different things by "asexual". I do experience sexual attraction, I'm just not interested in sex itself. "Sex-indifferent" would probably be a better way to put it.

I like the concept of polygamous relationships. Granted, I know that only a very small minority of people are interested in them, so I don't think it is something I should look forward to having. But people who are in such relationships - big pat on the shoulder from me!

No, you can't call yourself good based on your own interpretation of your actions. It's up to others to deem if someone is good or not.

That's for insecure people who submit to the judgement of others

I have my own rules of honourable behaviour and by those I do just fine

As for the "experiences sexual attraction but sex-indifferent and thumbs up to polyamory/cuckolding" - to each his own, that just sounds weak and weird to me but whatever works for you I guess

No, you can't call yourself good based on your own interpretation of your actions. That's just pure and blatant narcicissm.

Come on man, polyamory =/= cuckolding, just like friendship =/= servitude.

    It's called self-esteem

Narcissism is believing others should also feel as good about you as you do

As you can probably tell, I don't really care about that

I think hes just going off your post history where you said you were cool with being a cuckhold.

Which is pretty funny coming from someone that insists that we can't judge a given behavior but can judge a given preference.

It's a new word they learned and overuse, like when your little brother comes home from school and starts saying 'penis' over and over.

Not really. The literal meaning is a man whose partner has sex with someone else. Men in polyamorous relationships are literally cuckolds.

No, I'm not using it as an insult, its what he said.

No, not whose partner, but whose wife, plus it is a derogatory term coming from presumption that all relationships are monogamous in nature and that any sex with a non-spouse is cheating. In a polygamous relationship you do not "cheat" pretty much by definition, so this word is out of place and is just used for flaming.
