Black men exercising their second amendment rights scared the shit out of the white establishment. Ronny Raygun signed the law and demonstrated that 2nd amendment rights (amongst others) for some were only for whites.

Congress held hearings on the Black Panthers, you can find transcripts online, it's an interesting read. Congress asked them if they were communists, asked them if they were revolutionaries or reformers.

Mr. JONES. I heard during 1968 the Socialist Workers Party wanted to run members of the Black Panther Party on the Socialist Workers Party ticket. What came of that I don’t know, except that instead of running on the Socialist Workers Party ticket the Black Panther Party members ran on the Peace and Freedom ticket.

Mr. ROMINES. Are you aware of any Black Panther Party members who are members of the Communist Party?

Mr. JONES. No, I am not.

After governments failed them for so long, they took it upon themselves to uplift their communities.

I think nobody should carry guns, neither white people or black people. In germany civilians don't carry guns and our candys and cars are far better than yours.
