    hypocritical tv shows

Why is it ok to show blood, guts, and gore on tv but not boobs?

Same reason it is okay to have on screen murderings of children but barely on screen rape creates an uproar.

Because of weird culture acceptance of certain things.

My personal favorite are actors who have ultra violent films, guns, explosions, etc etc - but in their free time crusade against such things. (Sean Penn and Sylvester Stalone come to mind). Of course all of them have armed body guards and or able to get a carry license in states that normally don't allow citizens to do so.

The same thing goes for consumers really who love them some COD, but the idea of handling a real gun makes them trigger.

Because most popular entertainment you see is probably guided by one cultures norms but not other cultures norms. If you went shopping in other countries offerings you might find different norms.

Edit: That is not a value judgment though

    Because Christianity.
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shakes, the shakes become a warning.

I love FPS games but I wouldn't want to handle a real gun. I kill a lot of people in games but that doesn't mean I want to do that in real life.

You really think killing people in video games, and in real life is all the same? Because that's what it sounds like you imply.

Are you implying violence against children is acceptable in a video game because its not real?

How about those bizarre lolicon games?

So in essence you play a game to fantasize about killing people? Is that not what you are doing at its core?

But its not real, so it doesn't equate to real life right?

This is about last night's GoT episode isn't it?

C'mon, where's the outrage, the uproar over what happened? Maybe the character should've done some rape first.

Exactly right? It's somewhat disturbing if you are progun person with bunch of guns, and thinks it's hypocritical if someone doesn't shoot real people equally, compared to what they do in video games.

Like you wanted Walda to rape Ramsay? I don't think that would cause an uproar.

There was no one to rape. Besides every dude who watched Episode 1 this season got raped right at the end

Islam is based on Christianity... should I have said "Abrahamic religions" instead? But more or less all "morality laws" are church laws.
