Huh... He doesn't look like a hand...
On a more serious note, I guess that's what happens when a bunch of heroes, who've had their fair share of demon fighting since the Third War, are standing ready at the gate as soon as he makes his appearance.
First off, he is still Sargeras' right hand. Being sent back to the Twisting Nether after 'death' to regenerate doesn't apply to just dreadlords anymore, ya know.
Anyway, didn't they go for a "demons are weaker outside the Twisting Nether" kind of thing? Would explain why we didn't need the essence of a World Tree to take him down. Then again, you could argue that it was the legendary ring/rings (or the three Savage Hallows) that made it possible.

"I Am Vengeance. I Am The Night. I Am Felfáádaern!"
I shouldn't complain so much about LFR. I use it sometimes, since my guild doesn't raid anymore and I only play casual these days. But two effects of LFR I really dislike are: 1) drama (I don't play games for drama), and 2) endgame villains that should be exciting to face start to seem trivial. Sure, you know the version you face in heroic or mythic is very different from the one you've killed a dozen times in LFR, but they look exactly the same and use the same voice files, so the glow is gone. No luster. Archimonde? Been there, done that, even if it was LFR. :P

Basically the entirety of WoD was that we are too damned powerful to keep dealing with this little piddly shit.
The game really suffered by not having a 2nd tier where we finally dismantle the Iron Horde, where Grom is turned, where we see the soul of Teron-Gore put into say the body of Ner'Zhul as a crazy orc DK shadow-shaman creature, etc.
Instead we just blow through the warlords like they are paper and then pretty much do the same with all the demons too.
... I was about to respond with how I do know that, but now I just have mental images of Archimonde doing all the things a right hand might do... Currently I've got Sargeras giving orders in the kitchen while Archimonde and Kil'jaeden are holding each end of a rolling pin as they're preparing to make pizza...
Also, your last name wouldn't happen to be Fizzlebang?
But again, back to the topic at hand, can't say I'm too overly excited about Archimonde in Warlords simply because I still find it debatable if the bastard is dead or not.
On one hand the cinematic shows him falling over at the Black Gate, while on the other you do fight him in the Twisting Nether in Mythic. So it's all just confusing to me, just like much of Warlords.
And I can agree with Shelly that another tier would've been nice for various reasons.
Well, we had to sit around while wave after wave after wave of undead come, and then run up a hill and wait for his tall ass to pop out and then one shot him.
He's just a draenei, so nothing special.
Supposedly we had the entirety of Draenor's might at our side during the fight.
Our legendary ring is blessed by both the Naaru and the elementals forces of Draenor. We also have representatives of both Draenei, Orcs and Azeroth.
Basically they went with "the whole world against the mighty invader". Story wise it has been horribly developed to be honest.
It's standard fantasy trope: We're the heroes, and we can not truly die unless it's of disease or old age. Blame plot armour.
We are way too poweful, it's about time we lose a fight to some boss.
He is both too weak and we are way too strong. In the azeroth timeline, an entire race needed to sacrifice their immortality to kill him, even a join horde and alliance army could not even touch him. AU archimonde was killed by 20 random horde/alliance soldiers xD So yeah... AU archimode was pretty weak, since we could actually kill him.
May the lore be great and the stories interesting. A game without a story, is a game without a soul. Value the lore and it will reward you with fun!
Don't let yourself be satisfied with what you expect and what you seem as obvious. Ask for something good, surprising and better. Your own standards ends up being other peoples standard.
