You're kidding yourself if you don't think that gold is coming out of thin air at least in some cases. The system is REGIONAL so even IF and that's a big IF there is a balance between token subscribers and gold token buyers, there is no guarantee that the token buyer and gold buyer are on the same server.
Blizzard has no financial reason to turn down a buyer of a gold token and a great deal of their printed gold is just accumulating in the hands of a few very rich players and down the BMAH AH gold sink. I'm sure Blizzard tries to somewhat balance gold sinks and printed gold, but there is no reason on earth to delude ourselves into believing that they are not in fact printing gold in some if not many of the instances of tokens being bought.
I have 22 level 100s. Each average 1000g a day with some doing 4+ on occasion... I average 25-30k a DAY. 200k+ a week is easy and takes me 45 minutes a day. (It's all I do in WoW anymore.. log in.. do the missions and the ONE JC hut daily... and log out.) The Champion's Honor token sell for 10k+ on my server, Medallion's of the Legion sell for 4k, Rapid Mind Elixirs 3k+... and with 22 toons I get several per week making 50-100k gold alone.
I made over 2 million in gold doing the above for a couple months until I couldn't be arsed to do even that. Now I log in 2-3 times a week and still do 100k easy.
See this is the difference. I log in on each toon (Granted only 3) And average about 400g a day on each from Gold missions. And that's making sure I do every gold mission 100% with all treasure boosts. Mostly because 1 toon will make 800-1000g but the other 2 will have 1 mission for 180g or none at all all day. How do you cheese the system?
Also, my warrior hasn't gotten a single Honor token, medallion or rapid mind elixer in 3 months. Nor blingtron.
Except the gold comes from another player, and your money takes the place of what they would have paid for their subscription. Maybe take a minute to try and understand another person's point before you start insulting?

Biggest thing is the treasure hunters and goblin/dwarf crews for your ships. That 180g mission becomes 540g with a couple of treasure hunters. You get to double, triple, or even quadruple every gold mission depending on how many treasure hunters you can squeeze into the mission.

Well considering that god awful looking alliance chopper is 100k i could see them keeping this (first of im sure many reskins) spider mount at that price, if not raising it. Im just glad they didnt put it on the store to be honest. Speaking of, its been a while since they added anything to the store, hasnt it?
Even at 400g average... 22 x 400 = 8800g a day.. times 7 = 61,600... no cheese necessary.
Then contemplate that with 22 toons.. I have a MUCH higher chance to get the tokens, potions and medallions... it is a rare day indeed I don't get at LEAST one of them.. and often 2 or 3 of some combination.
I also do the JC hut daily on every toon (takes less tha a minute) and average 250g 5 days a week (I don;t do the Iron choker/rings dailies) 1250g x 22 toons per week = 27,500g a week.
I also will do any gold shipyard missions. And that averages another 5-10k a day.
If you are not getting the tokens and such... make sure you warrior is iLevel 675 himself... and you have at least 20 followers at 675... Your goal should be to have them all at 675, as many as can be with the treasure finding trait and reroll a junk trait with the dance book to give 3 counters.
Oh.. I have 5 tailors at max level and make another 10k a week just selling bags.
I remember the mount vendors in wotlk. Cool stuff. Glad to see more use for gold.
Last time I looked the toy was 25k... or was that the vendor price, I forget.
Ill buy it anyway as the 300 toy achievement is a Mount too.

All round collector of aesthetically pleasing items and garden gnomes.
You simply didn't optimise them, at all. Recruit one treasure hunter per week. Watch their counter, keep recruiting until decent counter. GG. free gold. Having Harrison Jones helps during leveling. Garona isn't even needed.
Shipyard can also be optimised, but I don't bother. A single garrison give me ~9k per week.
I'd be pretty impressed to see someone making 100k per week on one character with just garrisons. I'm curious if that's hyperbole or a real number. I think I make 200k from 3 characters per month, though I definitely don't max those out. I could see myself making closer to 250k or maybe 300k if I actually did everything I should. I don't do herb/mining/barn on most toons for example.
but you're talking about 400k per month per toon? I dunno about that.

You should be able to make 20k per garrison per week if you really maximize it though. Or are you just running missions?
Yawn. 100k. So you mean by the time this reset turns into next reset, I could afford both if I put the smallest bit of effort? Oh man Blizzard is so mean and cruel

A one-time investment of something most serious gold farmers can achieve in no time whatsoever, I wouldn't call this a gold sink.
Hopefully there's both 1) A lot more stuff similar to it and 2) Easily acquired gold in Legion to let people catch up somewhat to the wod farmers.
