I personally did not say he is stupid. I just proved facts that show he is not good at business.

By the way, I respect the man immenselly.
Do you respect him because he's able to get ignorant people to believe all his lies? Or do you respect him because he's made money by screwing over complete strangers? Maybe you respect him for sucking millions of dollars from taxpayers.

And he's not really that successful, not when taken in context. As for him being responsible for bankruptcies. If he is in charge of a company, and it goes bankrupt, he is responsible. How many millions do you think he's bilked from the taxpayers? Talk about a welfare case...
Your first statement is really subjective anyways. But my point is you should have at least some respect for him and not call him stupid.

What has he done to earn said respect?

Made money is not a correct answer.

And I'm sure you know that as a person he has a strong personality/aura. Something a president needs and something I really don't see in any of the others.

I like that he puts the US and its citizens above others. Something Shillary seems to have a hard time doing. Just see her new Women Card and Tshirts campaign.
I will not vote for Trump. I am still holding out hope that the Dem superdelegates will come to their senses and realize what a weak candidate Hillary is and vote Bernie. But if that does not happen, and assuming Hillary isn't indicted, she will have like 3 months to earn my vote. Otherwise if the election was today I would either write in Bernie or vote for a third party.

    I didn't call him stupid, did I?

My initial statement is subjective, but there's plenty of data to back it up. He has been caught in countless lies, yet his supporters do not care when confronted with them. That makes them willfully ignorant. Then of course there's the little issue that his supporters are less educated as a whole.

To be fair, Hillary lies about lies while telling lie lies. The general election will not be very truthy.

I respect people who contribute something to society, what has Trump contributed?

Hillary = status quo, the rich will get richer, the poor will get poorer. The economy will most likely decline, another recession is very likely. And there will be a very slight improvement in social areas.

Trump = the world burns down.

I respect him for what he was able to achieve. The ethics of it have no incidence in the perception I have of the man. I think that to limit someone to his ethics is a very narrow way of judging someome and his abilities.

May we want it or not, Trump achieved tremedous things that I and you will never get to achieve, wether we agree with it or not.

He was responsible. Only an idiot would spend millions to invest in and start up casino related businesses when the industry was on a downward spiral.

I really hope Trump wins. I should compile a list of certain individuals who are 100% sure he won't win.

It will be delightful to rub it in their faces.

I despise Hillary but, I am not so blinded by hatred that I can't see that she is quite competent, and would probably do pretty decent, especially with Bill hanging around.

I also despise Trump but, I have been dedicated since my first election to vote or any and all outsiders. I also like the idea of a president who self funds his campaign, but we will have to wait and see if Trump follows through on that.

That's why I don't plan on voting for either.

If you are willing to ignore ethics in determining respect, that must mean you also respect Hitler. After all, he was also quite successful...

saying someone is to be respected by that metric would make someone like idi amin a great man i mean look at all the power he acquired. never mind the fact he was a racist antisemite and hated asians and starved his own people and was generally incompetent.

This is what I honestly don't understand about authoritarians. Not the leaders, it makes perfect sense why they're doing what they're doing, but why are the followers so eager to be pushed around and told what to do?
