Trump is a developer. He hired a contracting firm to design and build his buildings. That contracting firm then subcontracted heavy machine operators, iron workers, electricians, plumbers dry-wallers, painters, etc. etc. etc. There was probably well over 100 different companies working at each of the new buildings. Do you honestly expect Trump to stand outside each work site asking for proper ID from each worker? Or do you think Trump simply expected the companies that were working for his company to work within the law?

For his current operations running, do you think Trump interviews all the hundreds of thousands he employs? Or do you think that he relies on others to do it? Do you think that maybe his company might subcontract certain work to others?

As to your final point... look around yourself. How much of that stuff is made in China, Malaysia, Thailand etc? We all know what those factories are like. And nobody really gives a shit. As long as we have our cheap merchandise WE ALL will continue to wallow in our willful ignorance. Until the first world nations force these backwaters to pay competitive wages it's going to continue like it is.

The planning and logistics are going to be a nightmare, and then it's going to be stalled for a long time in courts because of challenges over things like breaking environmental regulations and whatnot. And then there's Congress, which is more than likely going to tell him to go fuck himself.

Where are you going to get the millions of tons of steel, and the millions of tons of concrete? And assuming Trump actually managed to conjure up enough materials, how long is it going to take to transport the whole wall to it's final destination? Because that concrete isn't going to be set on the construction site; it's too hot for that. Oh yeah, and we'll need to construct a brand new road system to haul all this shit there because we don't have roads all over the place in the middle of the desert.

The last time we've built a big ass wall was the Ming Dynasty, and that happened in pieces over centuries. Better technology is not going to cut that process down to 8 years (and he won't even have 8 years, because of all the hoops and hurdles he has to jump through to even get started).
