Has Blizzard turned over a new leaf?

It seems like Blizzard has become much more active and responsive as of late and that the culture within the company has changed for the better.

They are not only listening to much more feedback, but are acting on it. They are communicating much more than they have in recent times, and they seem much more comfortable and confident with their product this time around. Watcher has really stepped up to the plate and has become a psuedo-Ghostcrawler. They've even begun working on goodwill projects like Stormwind Park. There also seems to be much more structure in the testing process.

Do you think that Blizzard has turned a new leaf and that this is a sign of good things to come for World of Warcraft? Or will we be back to WoD-style management soon?

Acting on feedback? Have you read the rogue alpha build forum in the last... 2 months? ZERO feedback or changes. Hoping today's build is different.

Not every single piece of feedback, but a great improvement.

They have improved their PR spin but overall this is the same trajectory as WoD with three months to go. At least Legion will have more dungeons at launch.

Turned over a new leaf? Blizzard has always communicated, it just gets drowned out around here.

If there is no feedback how can they make changes? derp

No feedback from Blizz. The rogue community is providing a lot. People are literally copy-pasting their replies from 2 builds ago just because we all want the same things changed and nothing has been changed. Nothing has even been mentioned, whether blizzard is against the feedback or not. Not a single word. Derp indeed.

Reading it with context, that being blizzard listening to feedback and the only side able to make changes, should be enough really. We're getting off topic though. Point is, Blizzard has done fuck all for some specs, so no.

As of this comment, still no changes to the mechanics besides Symbols of Death now having a useless 1 sec CD. Not going to help at all since people wanting it to have a CD just wanted to macro it in; every other gcd in dance will waste energy still. *shrugs*

I think that's.. 5? Builds with no changes worth mentioning now.

    I think they have.

It seems like after the public outcry about flying during WoD they have decided that they don't want anything to get that out-of-control again. Still, that doesn't mean everything that is demanded will come true.

Nothing has changed and they learned nothing from WoD.

They are doubling down on WoD's core ideas with order halls missions, no flying, and Pruning of classes.

I shudder to think how the game would be if every suggestion in forums were followed.

yes, and they need to chop it off before it kills their company.

This really is the shitty attitude of the consumer for Blizzard. "My spec hasn't had feedback so Blizzard really hasn't done anything lately."

Just because some feedback didn't go to your corner means Blizzard hasn't been listening to anyone?

They changed rogues a ton based on feedback. I have no idea what you are talking about.

You sound like if they did not do shit, which is a bloody lie.

Rogue is by far the most static class in the game. It hasn't been changed much because it has been in a good spot (with the usual DPS/balance give and take) for many many years and no drastic changes have been needed.

This expansion brings more significant changes to the class and specs, especially combat, than any other expansion. What needs to be discussed, exactly? Is there something that's unclear? Perhaps when there is a beta there will be a need for more interaction. Or perhaps not. Rogues just stay rogues. They're not horribly broken or awkward like other classes/specs always seem to be.

I don't know if Blizzard is turning over a new leaf but I think they may be looking at how other companies are successfully interacting with their playerbases and attempting to emulate some of their approaches. (Riot Games comes to mind with their jovial approach to balance changes in patch notes.)
