The AC movie has potential and at least they have a good actor to play lead, but I'm not convinced it'll be great yet. I'll still go see it, if only to see how hard Michael Fassbender has to work to carry the rest of it, but it's really hard to make that call from the trailer. Besides the obvious "why the fuck did you use rap", anyways.

Got around to the Assassin's Creed trailer again. It isn't a terrible trailer. The movie looks like it will be average, based on what we see here. Here the rap in it made me groan. I'm sure this movie is going to have 20 minutes of slow motion. You can tell when people are actually there or not. I will say the action, in some spots, looks pretty good.

I haven't played any of the Assassin's Creed games, so I don't know how well this follows with anything specifically, but the movie doesn't seem terrible, at least.

It looks alright, yeah. I can't say I'm big on AC lore because I haven't played about half the games in the series (Syndicate, Unity, AC4, off the top of my head), but it does seem to be sticking to the core of it.

I don't remember a Spanish Inquisition game. Was that Altiar? I still have never played the original. Think they should have gone with the Renaissance/Ezio era.

Altair was like, Israel/Jerusalem. AFAIK there's no game about the Spanish Inquisition, but there's so many spinoffs and shit that I can't keep track anymore.

As for Ezio, I have to disagree here. Ezio was awesome (both literally and as a character), but he starred in so many games I'd say he's had his fair share of time in the limelight. Not only that, but if you make a movie about Ezio, you're gonna upset hardcore fans about such and such this and this movie canon doesn't work with this game's canon and--yeah, it's better just to make it about a new Assassin entirely.
