No wonder you nordics commit suicide all the time.

Sun and heat > Cold and grey

I was once in Barcelona in October and it was 33c. Just awful.

But, the feeling when I turned on the air-conditioner in my room, and freezing temperatures took over in an instant... wow.

You have to be a real hermit to despise warm weather and sunshine.

  5. #85
15-20 degrees and sunny is perfect weather imo.
I especially love early spring when the first leaves and flowers start growing and it all looks so clean and fresh.

gray weather and short days during winter are just depressing to me, I just need some light and colour.
temperatures over 25 degrees are too much though, I often sit indoors when its 30+ outside.
its simply too hot to do anything except for sunbathing, which I don't enjoy and is unhealthy.

I prefer a hot day with a hard rain.

Look at the poll. Take a good, deep look at it.

I hope you feel left out.

i love the time after rain:

especially when the sun shines a bit and you still see many gray clouds on the sky.
and in forests or parks, when everything is so wet, it feels really alive.

Yep. Well society looks down and scorns those who are afraid of warmth and sunlight so I'm happy.

This forum is mostly made up of paleskins and various other folk from western/northern Europe, of course it'll skew that way.

Yep i know, i was in Valência during late October and the temps almost hit the high 30s.

I don't particulary like the heat. Don't get me wrong, i love the summer, but the thing is, it's much harder to get rid of being hot than being cold. And the sweat....godamn the sweat.

Im trying to go to Denmark so maybe i'll be faced with the opposite :P

Society is sad and stupid. This forum is less so.

You're probably in the minority. I absolutely HATE cold weather. In fact that's why I live where I do. Where 340 days of the year is sunshine and summer temperatures. No winter here, no sir, and that's the way I like it.

Well, the problem I have with intermittent clouds, especially when sunlight breaks out after rain, is that the spectrum of UV rays gets messed up, and when you look in the mirror it can be really sharp and distorted. It feels awfully annoying.

Make sure you visit the smaller towns, because Copenhagen is riddled with postmodern sh!t.

It's always the "few" who are the best in society, be it the philosopher who sits in his room, or the scientist like Tesla, or whatever. The majority are plain boring.

In my albeit limited experience, I've usually found it's people that are either overweight or generally not physically fit who actively dislike summer or warm temperatures.

Not saying that's universally true, ymmv, but it seems to be a trend I notice.
