Its interesting that the conclusion they'd come to would be that the bacteria would lead to people becoming larger, if anything the opposite would make more sense, that "bad" gut bacteria would lead to you losing weight. Of course, it would fail to explain why some obese people don't suddenly have permanent changes in weight with no change in lifestyle when an event occurs that would likely wipe out most gut bacteria (like a C diff infection).
The research is interesting but the conclusions come completely out of left field.
Well whoever wrote the article obviously has no idea what they're talking about, otherwise we should fire every scientist that's said this.It is the first time that scientists have considered that the transmission of disease might be possible through gut bacteria.
