Hopefully they will get around to downscaling players to the area level they are in. That will actually improve wpvp quite a lot and lowbies won't be so helpless.

I have a routine when I see a red in the field. I usually wave to said human or elf. If no response, I follow them and try to say hello again. If they ignore me, I smash them. If they spit at me, I smash them.
If they wave back, I help them kill a few bad guys and fly off in to the sunset.
It's not necessary bad or wrong, I just find in boring since it's no challenge and without any challenge I don't find it rewarding. Just the same as killing a raid boss on a low difficulty don't feel rewarding to me.
That's why I don't kill low level players and that's why I normally stay out of low level raids.
Killing them once, kind of scummy, but whatever.
Camping lowbies is truly trashy, it's a full blown sociopathic power trip. It's evidence that you have no power in your life so you have to take it out on someone who can't fight back. Yeah it's a game, but there are actual living breathing humans on the other end. Messing with a new player and literally controlling how and when they can play the game is a plain and simple power trip.
Look at it this way:
If someone was continuesly camping me when I am new to the game it would put me off and make me quit the game pretty fast. Especially since the game assigns you to a server.
Killing them once is alright. Bragging about it and ganking just shows how insecure you are about your PvP skills.
I don't enjoy killing low levels or being killed by high leveled players, So I avoid PvP servers.
When I do find myself on a pvp realm or such things I always try to be friendly with them, makes things more exciting.
One thing I like to do when I get put on a PvP realm is to use Dominate Mind to move an afk player just a bit wondering if they will notice.
I was told by a GM that after 4 times killing the same low level player in a row even on a pvp server it's considered harassment.
I wouldn't camp anyone, but must admin i have killed a few low levels while running about. I'm not going to fly over to them just to kill um though only if they pass the area i happen to be in.
Depends on my mood honestly. Sometimes I spare their lives and feel like I did something good. Other times I /wave and they do the same. But my favorite part is when I get to gank a lowbie and he brings his level 100 friends for me to fight. Then I bring mine. Then it's real world PvP, and it beats everything IMO.
I don't think killing them once is necessarily that bad, however stalking and killing them all the time is just lame.
Basic rule for PvP servers: If it's red, it's dead.
Are people complaining about it after 11 years of WoW?
Surely they couldve rolled a PvE server by now?
Don't try to apply a lore appropriate justification to your actions. That logic is essentially the same as saying that we should kill all children in the middle east because they might grow up to be terrorists.
If you want to kill a low level player, then that's your prerogative. You're on a PVP server. The lowbie is on a PVP server. The game enables you to do so.
Some people PVP because they enjoy the competition. They want to show their skills and prove that they are a superior combatant than the player they're fighting. Whether it's killing a faction leader, getting a high arena rating, capping a flag in a battleground or just winning a duel - they're there to meet the challenges of PVP head on.
Other people PVP because they like to ruin the experiences of other players. They gain joy from petty and immature actions. There is no test of skill between them and their targets. They don't cheat or exploit, but they gain no honor or glory from their actions. They kill low level players, ambush low health players who are fighting quest mobs, they kill quest givers in low level zones, they kill auctioneers, etc. These sorts of things can sometimes be a hint at some serious character flaws in a player's real life. I don't hate these types. I just feel sorry for them.
