This, as well as 30 something hours on reinhardt makes me say this as an absolute fact. Also here is a video proving it where he knocks a player straight ahead away instead of pinning him.

I have gotten to lvl 42 during the beta mostly playing Reinhardt and it happened to me 3 times. Either I am extremely lucky and the 2nd target got knocked back to the exact same place as I pinned the first target or it works as Charge pins every target exactly in front of Reinhardt. Tool tips don't always show the exact information and it is difficult to get targets exactly in a straight line.

I found myself loving Mercy (always hated healing in everything, so this came as a big suprise to me)
And I absolutely LOVE good Reinharts!
With healer healing ~40+% of dmg taken and a reinhart shielding 10k+ you effectively double the hp of your party!
I've no idea what to write here.

Always funny getting bitched at for playing more offensively with him, until I point out that it's usually because my team isn't actually killing anyone on their team at which point I try to defend only to have my shield slowly ripped apart and get riddled with holes, which usually proves my point pretty well. He is a very team centric hero, good team makes a good Reinhardt amazing, bad team makes him little more than a slightly more durable distraction.

I was around lvl 300is during closed and another 30 during open. It didn't happen once, because the ability specifically doesn't work that way except for the special cases I noted or MAYBE if it glitched. I will ask Mezamorphis (one of the best competitive Reinhardt players) today, who has around 200lvls Reinhardt only experience for confirmation, but i'm 100% sure you are wrong on this.

Also i don't know if you watched the video but roadhog was exactly in front of him, like 100% in line he even got knocked away straight ahead and not to the side.

Like dude there is a point in time where you could just admit you're wrong but whatever.

    ---

Ok just talked to Meza, he confirmed it as well. ONE pin only ever unless the pinned enemy dies before you reach a solid surface. So from this point on i won't reply anymore if you continue to stick to your point which is factually wrong.

He uploaded another video for proof where he goes through 3-4 people with his pin only taking 1 with him.

I sent "b4dcrc" a video from a scrim that I had recently because I can't post it myself the account being new(had some other one a few years back but I cba to recover it)

Playing since Wave 1 about 6-15h/day . Reinhardt never pins two targets at once, you can have 6 in a line, the first will get pinned the other 5 will get thrown around like bowling pins and receive 50 damage.

Clearly my favorit champion. It is fun to try to shield team mates just makes me sad when they for weird reasons run away and get killed... But I guess that is how it is done with random players

Thanks for confirming it. I am not the kind of person who wouldn't admit when he is wrong. I was speaking purely from experience. In retrospect my guess is targets were on top of each other, got knocked back to same place then died from hammer damage.

Yeah that is most likely what happened. Good that you can be persuaded with evidence

I usually picked him when my team refused to play a tank and we couldn't get past the chokepoint or move the payload.

    He's fun.

On last Open BETA day, got into Numbani (attack).. Torbjörn built his level 2 sentry on top of the Payload, I stayed with it while rest of the team went doing something else. For countless attempts, enemy team tried to stop the Payload by destroying sentry on top of it, but I kept spinning there as Reinhardt, nullifying all damage. In the end, they didn't manage to stop the Payload even once.. same sentry was still sitting on top of it.

Torbjörn got the play of the game, used his ultimate ability in spawn and started chasing Genji.. while sentry was doing something outside of the screen.

    #NerfTorbjörn!

Got the same kind of POTG.

Playing def Symetra on the egyptian map. Got a whatsapp message, afk ~8s to get my phone and check it, back in the game and playing. At the end POTG pop, was me, staring at a corner doing absolutly nothing and getting quad kill from my turrets.

The ammount of salt in the game's chat was delicious

Best thing about Reinhardt is to surprise your enemy from time to time by being suddenly on the offensive. A sudden successful charge on that Mercy or Lucio can change the tide.

I love having a good Reinhardt on my team when I'm playing Junkrat. It becomes so delightfully easy to funnel the enemy where we want them to go.

Not related to this thread but you were testing things out so I wanted to ask. Do knock backs such as mine from junkrat, Pharah or Lucio affect Bastion in sentry mode? Those spells only knock him back but keeps him sentry mode? or do knockbacks put him in recon mode?

I'm fairly certain bastion is immune to knock back in turret mode, though i have to admit i have seen him in 0.something% of my games so i can't say for sure. No one bothers picking him in scrims or competitive and since i main mercy i rarely bother paying attention to a bastion other than avoid him. Stuns force him out of sentry mode, thinking about it i'm pretty sure knock backs do nothing since it would be even easier to counter him then.

As b4dcrc said, he's just plain immune to knockbacks in sentry mode. Even an ult'd Winston bashing Bastion doesn't move him an inch.

Bastion is immune to knockback effects in Sentry-mode, but can still be hooked by Roadhog.

Was defending last point in one of the Payload maps as sentry near the ledge, saw enemy team coming and got Ultimate ready.. and felt like an idiot when I changed from Sentry to Tank mode as Roadhog popped his Ult at the same time. Second later I saw myself flying down to my death, meanwhile as Sentry I could have stayed up there and fight back.

When open beta started I was like, I'm going to try all heroes a bit, let me start with Reinhardt.
Barely did I ever switch. He's just so much fun, especially because I'm not very good at aiming so im a very bad hanzo/mcree.
Most games there weren't any tanks so I played Reinhardt, and I actually noticed me getting better at him which was very fun. Never really experienced that in a game. Though later I tried some roadhog, mercy and reaper as well.

That's because roadhogs hook stun starts when the hook connects, that takes bastion out of sentry mode and then he can get moved by the hook.

Thanks for the reply. I remember Roadhog being able to grip him out of sentry mode but couldn't find any info on knock backs.
