    Legion DPS DK Professions?

still doing research on the subject. Getting no where really on youtube and wowhead has some things now when I checked today.

what should we be looking at to create our own relic piece? one video said heroic gear is better then the crafted BS stuff ilevel wise...

    Apocalypse is fire and shadow
Blades of Fallen Prince is frost and shadow

i really cant find too much on professions via google so anyone with a beta key have input?

reason I ask is currently im mining and BS. Chanting and Inscript always does well early on a new xpac with chants/mats and darkmoon trinkets. i think i saw a video saying the only enchants will be just rings, necks, and cloaks... not that we need a weapon enchant to begin with

what professions are you guys choosing for a raiding DK?

There's some info regarding professions in legion here, specifically blacksmithing, but the other crafting professions will work in much the same way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_lhoUUClC4

These are all the craftable relics from professions right now: http://legion.wowhead.com/items=3?fi...28;crs=3;crv=0
Blacksmithing can make 4 of them, while other crafting professions are currently limited to 2 each. It's also worth noting that you can only equip one crafted relic at a time, so you can't fill your artifact relic slots with only crafted items. At level 103, they give +17 item levels to an artifact, but how much they give at 110 I do not yet know. Unfortunately wowhead et al can't show the ilvl increase given by relics yet.

Well, he has engineering: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWxY7ZhdGaQ and herbalism: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngcjAmp5GkM too.

The reason people probably haven't been looking into it too much is that professions have been quite unfinished until fairly recently.

I'll be rolling with blacksmithing and alchemy.
Blacksmithing for the epic crafted gear, and alchemy for the flasks and potions throughout the whole expansion. (and possibly the trinket)

im going enchanting blacksmithing (bout to boost a toon to 100)

For what it's worth, relics from questing seem to cap out at +35 ilvls, without getting an upgrade proc to epic which should add a few ilvls. Relics from crafting don't seem to scale with levels, unless their tooltip in the crafting pane is bugged. They are still +17 ilvls at level 110. If this turns out to be the case, they'll have some early levelling value, either for mains or more likely for alts, but will likely be replaced halfway through the levelling process.

I am sticking with enchanting and jewelcrafting on my main DK. To me this two are best professions to have on main character and there was always money to earn with them or being useful in almost every expansion and patch. Alts have all other professions and even if they did not i could easily get what i wanted w money this two provided me with.
Alt paladin has Blacksmith with almost every single patters so I don't worry about transmog pieces but I would not have it on main as profession.

Dont get me wrong you can earn money with all professions but those 2 i have on DK always sell fast for very decent money and supply me with what i need. On top of this JC crafts mounts for lot of gold what is nice addition of items that go for lots of cash but dont sell fast along with gems that sell in minutes to hours.

i used to run JC and enchanting in wotlk but didnt really stick with it afterwards since there are so few enchants and gems now, and no rings to DE for AH
