It feels like most of your posts insults the intelligence of everyone else, telling them what to think.

Personally i'l take this kind of story any day over the emo-teenage-twilight feeling i'm getting from your avatar pic.

Refill your glass and drink the whole thing if it is less interesting or less well written than whatever happened with the Alliance off focus. Or just simply sets the Horde back.

But nowhere it says that he had to keep the eyes, is not like the eyes were a good luck charm or anythin, they were nothing more than a sign

In that vision, he was wielding the Light wrecking havocs to demons and evil of the Voids, that his followers / fellow soldiers looked at him in awe and wonder, and he looked "calm, strong and at peace". Seeing how much Illidan want power and to become something grander than his brother, I wouldn't be surprised if he is very willingly to hug and kiss the Light now (although he was still a bit skeptical about it in the book).
Ehmm sorry but Calm and at peace is the polar opposite of selfish, hatefull powermonger. This. Does. Not. Work.

Don't worry. It doesn't work retroactively. Otherwise TBC would have killed us all.

That is in (far) future after he became a champion of Light. The point is that he was shown a vision, in which he - wielding the Light - was all grand and powerful. That's all he ever wanted - both power and being grander than Malfurion. Being selfish and powermonger, that vision seemed like a really good bait to hook him into the Light path so you can't say that it's OOC for him to be interested in using the Light now even when he wasn't for the last 10,000+ years. He was still a bit skeptical since that wasn't like any path he ever walked on, but you can't deny that the interests are there.

its funny that some people forget about that.I mean, ancient Night Elves believed in that but it was nothing more than just a potential to be a great druid.

I hope Illidan doesn't become a glowy happy funtime super saiyan with angel wings. That would gut his character. That would be soooooo lame.

Also... dragons came out of Elementals, and dragons have genders, so i see no reason why elemental would not have genders, they may not have sex though

If you can't come up with a good reason for why and how a character will save the world/universe, you play the "destiny" joker. Just a cheap plot tool.
