The thing I hate the most about some rich people is how they assume all poor people are lazy and unwilling to work.
The thing is, the world has changed. A lot of rich people inherit their fortunes from ancestors who worked really really hard to make what they did, yet today if you work really really hard you barely make enough to feed yourself let alone save up an inheritance for your children.

You have people working over 9 hours every day who cannot support their families. Times change :/

Rich people who come by their wealth via legitimate means (as in, not just rent seeking or playing the system, but actually producing something) I take no issue with - in fact I think they're good role models.

I am taking issue with those that weild the power...the gov't. the gov't is the one with the power, they have the dutyto be ethical and not allow themselves to be bought.

You're awfully quick to tell people how they should spend their money to make "society" better. So what do YOU do to make society better, besides suggesting rich people, who earned their money, be taxed to provide for "society"? Do you donate to charities? Time and/or money, or do you sit there and think about how to spend other peoples money?

I have heard many people say they hate rich people. Some say all rich people are arrogant. Some say they feel entitled. Have also heard people talk about all the money they waste on expensive luxuries when they could be feeding the poor in third world countries.

Personally, I know some rich people who are the most arrogant people you have ever met. They think they own the world and everyone in it. I also know rich people who are extremely nice and would give you the shirt off their back. Before I was financially successful myself, I was about to lose my car and my house. A rich friend loaned me money and said pay me back whenever.

Sounds like the poor are bitter haters. You'd do the same if you were rich and they earned it.

I Think that depends entirely what people consider to be rich. But yes when people have so much Money that they literally cant spend it other then give it away or more or less buy insane amounts of stuff and then give that away. And that they still go on "I want moar GIMME"

Evenso i Think that just because people have Money to spare at the end of the month they are not rich, or even when they go abroad a couple ot times a year.

It seems silly to hate people just on the principle of being rich. I hate certain ways people act, which excessive wealth can exacerbate the problem, but that's them, not the money.

Well whats funny is these rich people have probably donated more than most of the salty posters here will in the entire life time.

Don't know any really rich people. But I know a lot of upper middle class people. Most don't come from money, and are down to earth people. A few are arrogant and have a terrible need to show other people how successful they are at everything. But I know lower middle class people that are assholes too, so I guess it doesn't really matter how much money you have, at least in the upper/lower middle class spectrum.
