I could've sworn I saw a post somewhere stating the original name of what is now known as the Western & Eastern Plaguelands, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Anyone know if it was properly named or if I'm just being silly right now?

inb4 "That place with trees and some mountains and that city in the middle of nowhere next to some elves"
Eastweald. It says so in Warcraft: Chronicle
Wowpedia - with reference to Warcraft: Chronicle
Checks out.The Eastweald is a stretch of fertile foothills located east of the Tirisfal Glades. During the Troll Wars, military leaders from Arathor constructed "crude" forts throughout the Eastweald prior to the kingdom's direct confrontation with the Amani Empire around 2,800 BDP. After the war, those forts would become populated trading centers from which many modern cities would spring.
Given the description of the Eastweald as fertile and east of Tirisfal, it is possible the term "Eastweald" was the original name of the Plaguelands.
I will go on a limb here and say that it used to be called The Noplaguelands.

Eastweald? Wow I never knew that. I got a a better question will the plaguelands ever be healed?
I always thought their original names had just the word ''plague'' removed. So we had the ''Eastern Lands'' and ''Western Lands'', kind of a bland name though.
