Uh, unless it's specifically the troupe (sp?) that Varys was in as a child some...what, 30 years ago, they're not regulars. And I was under the impression that Varys was more of a circus act, tumbling and acrobats, etc, not actors.

If it's the premise of the movie, they can't be good despite it, there wouldn't be any movie without it. Terminator without time travel would be the average life of John Connors. Groundhog Day would be a guy being a dick and nothing ever changing. So no, none of these would be a good movie despite time travel.

Maybe in the show it can happen, in the books its impossible for Benjen to be coldhands because the childeren of the forest tell that he died long ago.
Childeren lifespan is very long so for them to say long ago means atleast +20 years Benjen is missing 5 years if not shorter?

If the show ends with "It all happened because Bran fell from the window" I will be severely disappointed because it's a pathetic concept.

That's how it looks like its being set up, so maybe don't watch it anymore.

Everything after Bran falling out the window is actually just a really vivid dream. He's still in the coma. At the end of series he wakes up and tattles on Jamie/Cersei. Robert kicks them out of King's Landing and officially passes the crown to the Stark family. Hodor gets all the eggs and blood sausages he wants. The end.

The problem with that is, what if the Three Eyed Raven chose to not bring Bran back to that point? It does raise thorny questions about destiny etc. which is why time travel is a tool to be used very lightly and in limited ways.

What if the Three Eyed Raven is in fact, old Bran ?

The more I think about it, the more I bet on that. The whole thing about "you becoming me" is to be taken litteraly IMO. Bran will at the end go back in the past, put himself in the tree and look over the world so that the timeline unwrap as it should.

It's not Bran's fault. Hodor will always be Hodor as the Bloodraven says the ink is dry the past cant be rewritten.

Hrrrrng that episode. The feels shoot out of every pore.

Two really good, emotional scenes. Hodor tore me apart, obviously, but I also cried when Jorah revealed his greyscale. I get the feeling that is the last time they will ever meet but damn do I want something happy to happen.

Stannis' daughter survived it, albeit with the best healer money could buy. Perhaps the new priestess chick can do something if he makes it back to the city?

I don't think it was Rickard leaving, I think it was Ned leaving to be Jon Arryns ward at the Eyrie.

And Bran didn't just go there randomly, Bloodraven took him there, so one could argue that Bloodraven knew what was going to happen and knew that Bran would need Hodor to save him.

I saw it as cleaning up a loose end of Eddard not "knowing" who Hodor was. When he left, Wyllis was still himself. He's gone for roughly a decade, or possibly longer.

So maybe Coldhands is a white walker that didn't get his "programming" corrupted and is still loyal to the CoF?
The whole "obsidian to the chest" scene felt flaky, maybe we get something else in the books.
