I disagree with you there simply because of my precious posts. I don't think they stuck enough to the warcraft story that hooked most of us for this to be some love letter to fans or the BS marketing statement of this movie was made with passion and/or a movie for fans. Fans will know the names and places but the story will be a warped version of what fans know. Good or bad that will remain to be seen but I don't think this falls into the "our movie" category.
It was never going to be a 100% copy but to claim this is a fan movie or "our movie" it would have had to be closer to the story we all know.
Dalaran is the least of my worries. It is warcraft though. Kinda like WoD was warcraft but a "F"ed up version of it. You know the names and places but the rest story wise. Ugh....
I get that same vibe from the movie. Calling it warcraft, much-less a movie made for fans, doesn't really mean all that much if it's not "more true" to the story that hooked us than not.
He also says that even if fantasy fare isn't your thing, see it for the spectacle.Originally Posted by Adam

It's really only 13 hours for France? Hot damn.
It´s not in each theatre. Just for one I think. https://www.facebook.com/GRAND.REX.P...type=3&theater - It´s like World Premiere today. Official date is tomorrow for France according to imdb

NBC is owned by universal ofcourse..
Are you aware how silly you'd look if we started comparing side-to-side how many things are the same as in the games/books and how many are not? The only reason you're so upset about this because you're one of those purists people who actively seek out changes to the original (often self-contradictory) canon so you can have an excuse to rant. It stops you from seeing how much about this is true to Warcraft as we know it.
This argument would hold some water had there been only one single iteration of the story. There is not, however. There are as many iterations as fingers on my hand, yet people still like it. Some even like several iterations at once, each for different reasons (Myself, I began with Warcraft in 1995 and as such love the story as presented in Warcraft I and II, yet that does not stop me from liking the modern take as well). So, one more iteration will certainly not hurt, unless you are really close minded and unable to follow anything but your personal vision of how things should be.
I have seen the film in a Sneak Preview:
Haters gonna hate....this film is EFFIN AMAZING.
I read that the haters don't like the spells as they look poorly photoshoppped....gtfo, the film has by far the best animation for spells I have seen so far.
The CGI was criticised, too....gtfo, the Orcs are looking so damn amazing. Insane CGI, very well done.
The humans sometimes look bad, yes. Sometimes. And who cares?
As it is Warcraft and something from Blizzard there will be enough haters. But this film is simply amazing. Very well done!
Urgh, just watched the medievh throwing khadgar around scene in german.. they had problems translating "Fel"....
I have no words for this...
They gone with: "Das Fel" (the fel) in the german version but its pronounced like "Das Fell" (the fur). Omg. Omg. This will confuse soo many people.
Ok maybe if they explain what it is at the beginning it will not be that bad.
