it had nothing to do with the duel.
It seems like a combination of forcing the Draenor elements to help him kill Garrosh and Thrall feeling all this guilt about having to put garrosh down.
his emotions are clouding his shamanism.

Doesn't he mean his overall story instead of the "rescue the orcs" one? Like, his "rescue the orcs" stuff is over and his "green jesus" shenanigans isn't?
