Well, on our world she's Brit...
I'm guessing on your world the idea of beauty is something different.

You spit fire bro
But idk man some of these women are pretty hot: http://www.ranker.com/crowdranked-li...IDESHOW&page=2
Hot women in ads sell products if they didn't they wouldn't put hot women in ads
It isn't the advertisers fault hot women are in ads it is the consumer. If you want to remove hot women from ads you need to change the culture of the consumer not the advertiser
IMO this is a damn travesty. Beautiful people should be celebrated. It is mostly the reason people want to be healthy and physically fit. If we start showing ugly people or god forbid fat people on your magazine covers then people are just going to turn to other forms of edification.
Yes there are people out there who are crazy and take the whole thing too far where they have mental issues or eating issues but the alternative is much worse where more people are going to have heart disease and stroke because they didn't have a reason to stay in shape, eating right, and being more healthy.
i thought all bodies were equally attractive? that's what feminists and fact activists keep saying.
this means the women in ads are just as attractive as any other woman. so all women would be banned from ads.
you do exactly what you tell others not to one sentence lateralso "hot women"...really, you could not have come up with a less sexist title? You dont think people who dont conform to this absurd body image can be "hot"? if thats true then you need to stop watching so much porn and go meet some real women.
But how do they choose which women are hot? I mean, maybe someone likes certain women and I like others. Or will they only display women like this:
Why not just let them put whoever they want?
So land whales are going to take offense what are they going to do? Run after them?
These assholes have a lot of power. How many of these "land whales" live in the UK? Isn't it close to 22% of the population? Imagine pissing them all off and them boycotting your store. You'd lose millions. What's sad is that many of these assholes probably never have shopped there to begin with. Reminds me of the time where 50k signatures, from people around the world, was enough to remove GTA5 from Target shelves in AUSTRALIA! Fucking Australia Target was being pressured by people that would NEVER shop there in the first place.
If the internet didn't exist, they'd have next to zero power. I saw this coming from back in 2010 where "fans" of pro-gamers would gather and mass send letters to the pro-gamer's team sponsors. The sponsors would drop their deal from the team and the team would drop the player. The "fans", who've probably never purchased (and will never purchase) from the sponsors, have the ability to destroy someone's professional life because of the treat of lost funds...
I don't think there's a way to stop this lunacy.
The problems are not from anything like 22% of people in Britain, they are from a small group of people who have decided that they are going to protest to the ASA about "unrealistic" body images in advertising.
The ASA usually deal with complaints numbering in the dozens, so when they get thousands of people complaining then they think it is widespread debate throughout the UK, however it is just a few thousand that have organised themselves on social media, i.e. a vocal minority.
There is no organised opposition to it in the UK, generally people do not give a shit who is in adverts, so it gives any organised groups free reign to try and dictate policy.
Advertising Standards Agency isn't a feminist authority, they've also banned tobacco advertising and regulated how products can be marketed towards children. There's long been a concern that "unrealistic body image" has been a contributing factor to anorexia.
Does the ASA specifically mention women and not men?

It's probably easier to regulate the industry that creates consumer culture than it is to adjust the basic human psychology it manipulates.
So, are fatties realistic body images too? As far as I'm concerned they are "body shaming" the attractive women for being too hot, will these women be told "No we can't advertise you, you're too attractive." Will that get the same attention as "Can't hire you, you're too fat." It's moronic.
Feminists simply want to normalize their sloth and sheer laziness. Many of them are terribly out of shape and don't have the self-worth or desire to better themselves. It's easier to blame everyone else for looking terrible than have some introspection.
Another "I am so outraged by some shit that doesn't matter" thread.
