Seriously. They sold me on the entire show with the opening frames alone. This is a level of passion for art and animation that is rarely ever seen. The direction, the flow of the camera, pure chaos with such focused central character positioning, freedom, relationships, pain, love, passion. Everything is coordinated specifically to generate emotion and interest. It's amazing.

I did hear some news some time ago, but it was vague. Here's hoping it goes well, because FMP is a great novel that deserves a complete and well done anime.

Violet Evergarden is the only one that have won the grand prize in the Kyoto Animation Award program (novel, scenario, and manga) out the 6-7? years they have been doing that.

So hopefully it's going to be good.
